Amanda made her enquiries and was grateful to find out that she would not have the day’s meeting with the President, Elias Winters, instead, she would meet with the Vice-President of the company that they were their client. It was nothing but a narrow escape regardless because Amanda spotted her ex-husband, and the fact that she had their son Adrien with her, who had a striking resemblance with his father, made her go into hiding at once.
Amanda did not want Elias to find out about their son, after all he had said that he was not the one that got her pregnant, so what business did he have with her son? The Barrister’s Love In Town further tells us that Elias spotted Amanda, though he was not sure of himself when he saw her.

He was the unfaithful husband of Amanda Bailey, who agreed to divorce her after she found him cheating with an unknown mistress. Elias Winters later became the president of a renowned company, one of which Amanda was hired to do a legal job for, and after being away from each other for four years, they reconnected as a result, and this time, there was an even deeper connection between them because of their son, Aidren.

A plot that has catchy events from the beginning to the end of the book is always a great advantage when reading, and The Barrister’s Love In Town carries to a great extent the intensity of such a plot.
