How much would a woman be willing to endure to preserve her marriage, especially if she still loved her husband? Well, Quinn seemed to accept even the impossible. She would have forgiven Jeo for sleeping with her sister as long as he went back to her.
The Alpha King Is My Second Chance Mate follows Quinn as she is downgraded from Luna of the pack to Beta and compelled to watch her sister Delilah take her place in the pack and in her former mate’s arms.

Part 1: Quinn’ Journey From Luna To Queen In The Alpha King Is My Second Chance Mate
Quinn’s story doesn’t have a happy beginning. She was destined to be the pack’s Beta but the Moon Goddess blessed her with being mated to the pack’s Alpha. Jeo loved his Luna Quinn, even ruling the pack without a Beta by his side.
As the years went by, Jeo seemed to have drifted apart from Quinn. He didn’t have long talks with her in the middle of the night anymore, he didn’t share his feelings and be barely touched his mate. Quinn’s heart already told her what her mind refused to acknowledge.
Her husband was affectionate with someone else. Unfortunately, that someone else was her own sister. The truth was that Delilah was the Luna material as she was sweet, beautiful and fragile, while Quinn was a warrior, just as beautiful but more suited to be a Beta.
Crying her eyes out at the border, Quinn tried to ignore the pain in her heart as she had to head back the packhouse. She knew that Jeo must be with Delilah, she could feel their bond fading more and more each day.
Back in her bedroom, she pretended to sleep when her Alpha returned. Her tears were almost dried when she heard Jeo apologize for what he must do. He still loved her but there was nothing he could do to undue things.
The next morning, Jeo lied about his whereabout from the previous night and hurried Quinn to get ready as she had to go make a peace offering to the Alpha King. He lied that he couldn’t accompany her because he had some urgent pack issues to attend.
Quinn’s journey was supposed to last four days and she would be accompanied by guards. One day into her journey, the girl felt something stab her heart. Her uneasiness prompted her to go back to Jeo, but the guards tried to stop her. They had specific orders to not let her go back before the four days passed.
Enraged, she freed herself and ran back to the packhouse only to find Jeo and Delilah in the middle of a mating ceremony. Her husband was going to mark another she-wolf without even rejecting her first.
Seeing her there, Jeo stepped forward and officially rejected her before proclaiming Delilah as the new Luna of the pack. Even more, he ordered Quinn to remain and take the Beta position that she was supposed to have in the first place.
Quinn couldn’t deny his request, as her only other option was to become a rogue. She accepted the position, knowing just how hurt she would be to watch Jeo and Delilah be a loving couple right in front of her eyes.
Although Quinn makes herself a promise to not love again, her world is turned upside down when the Alpha King visits her pack and she learns that he is her second chance mate. Alpha King Zayd is smitten with her and wants to take her to his pack.
Will he be able to make Quinn put her guard down and love again? How Will Jeo react when he learns that his former mate has found her second chance, an Alpha King no less?

The Cruel Rejection
Jeo seemed to be taken aback by Quinn’s presence at the ceremony. Seeing her so broken prompted Jeo to step forward and apologize, but the woman wasn’t having it. She regretted mating the Alpha in the first place.
Quinn never believed that her mate and her sister could do something like this to her. Disregarding the fact that they were doing this behind her back, Jeo was also a coward who didn’t even reject her first.
They tried to explain their reasons but Quinn wasn’t having it. She put her hands over her ears and urged them to shut up. Her pain was unbearable and was about to become even more acute.
Right there, in front of everyone, Jeo rejected Quinn and asked her to accept his rejection. Hurt both physically and emotionally, Quinn had no choice but to accept the rejection. Weak and pained, she crumbled to the floor but was quickly picked up by her father and carried home.
The man continuously apologized for what happened even though he had no idea of Delilah’s plans. Yet, he felt sorry for his elder daughter, especially since she was suffering after what her own sister did to her.
Part 3: The Alpha King Is My Second Chance Mate Werewolf Book Review
The Alpha King Is My Second Chance Mate is a heartbreaking story of a she-wolf who loves her husband so much that she would go to extreme lengths to keep him by her side. He wouldn’t do the same for her though.
Quinn deserved her second chance mate and Jeo deserved to watch his former mate be happy with the Alpha King. After all, he got a taste of his own medicine.
King Zayd is one of the best characters in the book. Unlike Jeo, he never willingly hurt Quinn. He patiently waited for her to be ready to love again. I also loved the fact that Quinn never wallowed in her sorrow and took on the reigns of the pack as Beta without much trouble.
Quinn may be a weakling when it comes to matters of the heart but when it comes to battles, strategies and border protection she is a badass Beta.
The Alpha King Is My Second Chance Mate is a great book that you’ll surely love if you gave it a chance.
