Part 1: The Primary Storyline Of The Abandoned Wife Novel
The stories of The Abandoned Wife novel start with Roxanne Jarvis’ hopeless romantic modes. She has fallen head over heels for Lucian Farwell, her handsome-looking idol since the two MCs were teens. Roxanne holds to her feelings for Lucian until after she graduates from the university.
One day, in The Abandoned Wife novel, Roxanne’s grandfather went critically ill. He declared he wanted something to entertain him while he was in the hospital bed to ward away the bad luck. Roxanne becomes one of the brightest PhD researchers, which signifies her brilliance. However, what matters most is how she interacts with other characters, especially with Lucian.
In The Abandoned Wife novel, we can see Roxanne’s “studying hard” tendencies since her first three years of marriage with Lucian, from preparing his dinner to accompanying the drunken him. Lucian might have disappointed Roxanne in the past; still, it doesn’t make her regret learning. In the end, she forms solid teamwork with her twin geniuses.
Lucian Farwell
Handsome and wealthy are two characteristics that have been ingrained in Lucian Farwell since his childhood. In The Abandoned Wife novel, he becomes the CEO of Farwell Group at a young age, and since then, his strategic and forward-looking mindsets have kept his underlings’ loyalty.
Lucian’s first love is Aubree Pearson, and he has stressed it out to Roxanne since the first time he married her. However, Lucian also doesn’t wish for any women to play with his feelings, no matter how much he hates those women. Here, in The Abandoned Wife novel, we can see Lucian’s prideful feelings after Roxanne departed for a long time and her professor assigned her back to where Lucian belongs.
Part 3: Some More Analysis Of The Abandoned Wife Novel
The more I read the stories between Roxanne and Lucian in The Abandoned Wife novel, the more I believe in some people who say, “Trust is earned, and it is not given,” It doesn’t only apply to Lucian’s heart that belongs to Aubree instead of Roxanne, his legal wife. It also applies to Roxanne’s life after she departed from Lucian for the first time.
Roxanne’s life as a researcher could have been better if her supervisor a.k.a. professor didn’t assign her to a place where she knew Lucian was there. Furthermore, Archie and Benny, Roxanne’s genius twin sons, have always contributed to Roxanne’s research. Their presence in the lab where Roxanne works doesn’t only delight Roxanne. Instead, Archie and Benny’s competence never stops delighting Roxanne’s colleagues.
Here, I see two possibilities for Roxanne’s professor and his orders to Roxanne. I see strong tendencies in him being Lucian’s flying monkey in disguise. Alternatively, the professor could be somebody unrelated to Roxanne’s ex-husband, but Archie and Benny’s wishes to see their father and their above-average competence have touched the professor’s heart that the professor might have promised them while Roxanne doesn’t see Archie and Benny.
As for Lucian, his wrath nearing the end of the introductory chapters of The Abandoned Wife novel is one of the most interesting aspects to learn about. Here, I don’t believe that Lucian gets mad at Roxanne because of his unwillingness to let her go or that he feels Roxanne is toying with him. Lucian might have learned something about Aubree, and it leads him to chase instead of abandoning Roxanne.
Part 4: Read A Similar Novel To The Abandoned Wife
Roxanne might be The Abandoned Wife to Lucian Farwell, a man who never loved her, during her marriage with him. So, breaking free from the destructive marriage is the first step for Roxanne to discover and embrace herself. The presence of her genius twins, Archie and Benny, adds to Roxanne’s joy in life.
Archie and Benny are not ordinary kids. They are geniuses, and they prove their above-adult skill levels when they work with their mother in the lab. It’s highly likely that Archie and Benny’s presence also entertains Roxanne’s colleagues and professor. Roxanne is a decent mom to her twins, and I’m not surprised if, someday, the adult self of Archie and Benny could change the world in a better direction.
It makes the arranged marriage between Roxanne and Lucian in The Abandoned Wife novel only become one of the elements, apart from Roxanne’s medical career and her genius twins. So, what if Roxanne’s genius twins have grown up as the beloved Lycan Kings, pursued a med school graduate girl, and existed in a multiverse world?
