Ares Pridelyn is a human who used to be cherished in the kingdom of Aerodom, until one day, when he is banished by the very people who have trusted him with protecting their land. Apparently, he had failed the inhabitants from Aerodom. When invaders attacked them, something unknown to Ares happened that caused him to be responsible for the death of many human beings.
He had very few memories of the battles, but he couldn’t put his finger on the right memory that would elucidate him. It was as if someone had purposely erased his mind. Desolated, he is being exiled, with no opportunity of ever coming back.
Ares tries to begin a new life, together with his new unusual companion, the monkey he names Cres, as in Crescent Pridelyn. He will eventually get caught up by his past and he won’t be able to escape it.
So, instead of fleeing this time, Ares will be determined to find out the reason why he had been banished from Aerodom. Learning the truth about the his enemies plotting against him, Ares will have no choice but to learn how to harness greater magic and protect himself from those who wish to erase him for good.

The tournament gathered adventurers from all over the world, who would show their skills and compete for reevaluation of their ranks. Even non adventurers could join the competition. If they won, they would receive an adventurer rank and be acknowledged as one.
Adventurer’s goal is to join one of the best guilds such as the Knights of the sun or the Golden Tale. Ares tried to remember which guild he belonged to, but failed.
Part 3: Tale of The Forsaken Mage Book Review
The combination between magic, adventure and love interest is definitely a win for me. The story has depth, it’s intriguing and fun, which makes the novel a must read. The mix between the different themes of the book is savory, they intertwine nicely to create this unique storyline.
At first glance, you would think that the plot is nothing out of the ordinary. Just an adventurer who seeks to level up and achieve higher status but the truth is that Tale Of The Forsaken Mage has something different. It’s captivating and entertaining altogether.
The novel is one of the most popular books on webnovel. It’s an ongoing story, that still has a lot to tell. For me, it deserves ten out of ten points. The author has managed to write vivid descriptions, which are truly worthy of reading.
Be careful though! Such wonderful story is addictive and there is no way of getting cured! You won’t be able to pull apart from the book’s pages, no matter how hard you try.
