Part 1: Story About Intoxicated With You
The paranormal romance novel, Intoxicated With You, unfolds with Blake, 18-year-old main character at the mercy of her evil step-father and his nasty friends.
This story may come out as either offensive or too much for some readers. Once again, I am giving you a warning before reading Intoxicated With You. Please proceed with caution.
Regardless and in all fairness, I must admit that as Intoxicated With You progresses, it becomes clear that there is more going on than meets the eye. Readers who reached up to the last chapter will prove just how much they loved reading the Intoxicated With You book.
The main character, Blake lives under the same roof with her step-father and half-brother, Jeff, who knows nothing and only believes his father and friends’ statement that Blake is an addict.
At the beginning of Intoxicated With You, Blake explains in her monologue that her dad was in jail for drugs and her mother travels a lot for work.
Because of the horrible deeds her step-father had been doing to her, she doesn’t like to be touched by anyone and unfortunately became highly dependent on illegal substances. It was her only way to forget the pain she’d be through at the start of Intoxicated With You.
She meets 21-year-old Tyler at school as a seatmate and instantly becomes his friend, although she is anxious about it.
When Tyler is successfully able to invite her to a club, she meets another gorgeous man, but he is kind of indifferent towards her. He is none other than her mate, Alpha Noah Decker, but Blake doesn’t know anything about him and the supernatural world in Intoxicated With You book.
Noah Decker has no plan to find his mate yet he unexpectedly saw her at the club having a good time with his friend, Tyler. He is also forced to deal with the consequences that come from being mated with a human. https://karensingermd.com
Paranormal Romance Book: Intoxicated With You
The author of Intoxicated With You, Juliet Spencer, does a good job of keeping you engaged and interested in what will happen next, which can be difficult for a book about werewolves because there are so many books out there already exploring this topic.
The Intoxicated With You book does not move quickly but is still good because Juliet Spencer made sure to keep the plot moving forward. Blake is the kind of character that readers will sympathize with despite her flaws.
Part 2: The Characters of Intoxicated With You
Loner Blake is your typical leggings-and-hoodie type of girl who distanced herself from everyone around her. Her beautiful eyes and face are a contrast to what life she’s been living since she turned nine. She has a dark past that makes her not like people touching her in the Intoxicated With You book. In fact, she doesn’t want to be friends with anyone because she’s afraid she’d only cause them trouble with the thing with her step-father.
Blake of Intoxicated With You novel sees herself as a cuttlefish among the sea of sharks. In order to survive, she must blend well. Her sick need for pain makes her long for illegal substances and occasionally hurt herself.
She is everything her step-brother is not.
Jeff is a football team star, adored by everyone and his mom’s golden child with good grades and good looks. He’s not a terrible person according to Blake, but is an asshole for he does not know anything that is going on in their house.
For him, Blake is a hopeless addict.
But in truth, Intoxicated With You is a story of sweet, adorable Blake who needs someone to protect her and make her feel accepted in a way she’s never been treated like before.
Luckily for her, Tyler, her best friend, comes into her life.
Tyler is a wolf but Blake thought it was a joke. A new-comer with towering height and cute blonde hair. He cares for Blake dearly. Also, he is the reason Blake and Noah found each other.
Now, let’s meet the Alpha in Intoxicated With You!
Noah Decker has dark brown hair, blue eyes, a dimple, and like all the Alphas out there, has a good shape and a pretty face. He meets Blake on his 22nd birthday at the club one Friday night.
Their relationship doesn’t start off great, especially because he wanted to reject Blake the very moment he learned she was a human. And humans tend to be weak, unfitting to his world, and for him as an Alpha. He’s edgy but still believably human (for a guy who is an Alpha’s pack).
But the truth is, he cares for her. He doesn’t want to bring Blake to the danger of the supernatural world in Intoxicated With You, and thought she had a family she would have needed to take care of. But she has none. Blake has no one.
Soon he has to take her home to be safe from her step-father and all the trauma he had caused poor Blake.
The rest of the Intoxicated With You book pretty much follows them through their love story and how it all ends.
