The story follows Nova, a woman who lives discontentedly in a marriage of terrible quality. Yes, it’s a good way to describe the ripe mess that Nova got herself into. She fell for a piece of shit who was only too eager to get away from her. This man has a bunch of problems and one of them is his eyes; he can’t see through the pretenses of a complete bitch. Another problem is with his ears, he can’t stop listening to shit the bitch says. He wanted a divorce from Nova, and Nova who had been trying so hard from the beginning to make things work finally had enough.
She had been receiving explicit pictures from her husband’s mistress and she was tired of the infidelity and humiliation. To her husband’s shock, Nova accepted his request to divorce. She indifferently left his life like he wanted. However, it wasn’t long before he received the blow of his life, metaphorically speaking.
Nova had been living two lives for a while. She wasn’t the simple woman Henry had thought her to be. On the contrary, while she was Nova, she also had another identity, Polly, a well-known figure in the legal field. With the divorce, Nova was ready to get back to the thing that would never leave, her career. She’d abandoned it for so long, all because of her duty to, and her love for, Henry. She now returned and the first case before her just so happened to be her ex-husband’s.

Chapter Six
Nova arrived at the King’s Mansion with an undecided heart. Grandma Mabel excitedly came forward to welcome her. Nova couldn’t explain to the woman why she had been away for so long. Then the elderly woman told her she already knew. Nova is surprised and so is Henry, but then their doubts were dispelled as the old woman continued to speak. No, she had no idea of their divorce.
The three parties sat down to dine together, and the atmosphere was strange. Grandma Mabel moved with enthusiasm as she stuck to Nova’s side. When Henry inquired about the purpose of her invitation, Mabel got angry as she was reminded of his presence and how little he cared about his marriage. Mabel was the reason that they had gotten married, and she was a really nice person to Nova.
What would happen if she found out that the marriage between her grandson and precious granddaughter-in-law had failed? Nova and Henry listened to Mabel talk in anger and dissatisfaction.
Mabel went on to mention the woman that Henry kept going to see in the hospital. Grandma Mabel scolded Henry for bringing shame to the Kings and for being blind to the tricks of the woman he thought saved him. Yes, Henry was smitten with a devil. The woman he treasured more than his wife was going to be a great disappointment when he realized the truth. For now, he frowned at his grandmother’s words and cast an icy glance toward Nova.
Maybe love can’t be completely pure after all. Maybe romantic love needs a little more possessiveness than is healthy.
