Part 1: When A Blast From The Past Ends Your Marriage: Seven Days Seven Nights Novel Storyline
There’s a wise saying that claims no one knows what happens behind closed door.
For the outside world, Nicholas Sallow is a doting husband who loves and cares for his wife. Once they are away from the public eye, Nicholas and Nancy are more cordial than a pair of loving spouses.
Of course, they enjoy their intimate encounters, but other than that, their marriage is nothing but a three-year contract. At the end of their agreement, is Nicholas won’t fall in love with his wife, he is more than entitled to get a divorce.
In the morning of their two-years marriage anniversary, Nancy keeps replaying the previous night in her mind. Blushing, she remembers just how affectionate her husband was and how he seemed to worship her body throughout the entire night.
Ready to spring the news about her pregnancy, Nancy heads to the kitchen to wait for her husband, but, before she opens her mouth to tell the good news, Nicholas asks for a divorce, as Madelline is back.
He tells his wife that there is nothing she can do to change his mind and Nancy decides to keep her pregnancy hidden for the moment, as she couldn’t foresee Nicholas’s reaction to being a father now that his true love was back.
After delivering the divorce news to Nancy, Nicholas began shamelessly hanging out with his mistress, who was bound to a wheelchair now. The woman reveals to Nancy that Nicholas only married her because he wanted to protect her from his grandfather, who never approved their relationship and threatened to do something reckless.
Furthermore, Madelline recollected that, on the day of their wedding, she had a car accident and Nicholas rushed to stay by her side in the hospital, leaving Nancy alone of their wedding night.
Heartbroken, Nancy realizes that Nick had been feeding her lies throughout their marriage. She knew she wasn’t his first choice in terms of marriage, but she secretly loved the man for ten years, so when Jacob Sallow offered to marry her to his grandson, she happily accepted.
Although she knew Jacob supported her marriage due to his feelings of being grateful to her mother for saving his life in the past, Nancy demanded to know from Nicholas if he truly wanted to marry her and he boldly lied that he wanted to do it.
When they made the agreement to stay married for three years and get divorced if they would still lack affection towards one another, Nicholas admitted that he might seek Madelline, while Nancy told him that she loves someone too.
Now, being so close to getting divorced, Nick tells his wife that she is free to look for the man she loves, but Nancy simply tells him that the love of her life is about to marry another woman.
All alone, Nancy must fight to protect her child, especially since Madelline is adamant in harming her and blaming the girl for hurting her. Will Nicholas be oblivious to Madelline’s evilness or will he finally see her true colors?
Will he learn the truth about being the only man that Nancy ever loved and gain his wife’s forgiveness?
Part 2: A Brief Look Into Seven Days, Seven Nights Novel
Seven Days, Seven Nights Chapter Seven
Nicholas urged Madelline to tell him exactly what happened. Putting on a victim act, she told Nicholas that he shouldn’t blame Nancy for her fall, as she was the one who tried to get off the wheelchair when his wife had told her she would never grant Nick the divorce.
Stunned, Nancy urged Maddeline to stop framing her and to prove Madelline was lying, she offered to go to grandpa Jacob and tell him about the divorce right away.
Nicholas understood his mistress’s ruse and told her that she needed to be patient until his grandfather’s birthday passed and, if she pushed things further, he would have to choose grandpa Jacob over her.
Maddeline got scared and quickly apologized while hugging Nicholas. As the couple shared this intimate moment, Sarah, Nick’s mother came and admonished her son for publicly displaying affection for a woman other than his wife.
Quietly, Nancy praised her mother-in-law for interrupting her husband and his mistress and scolding them. Hearing that Madelline was planning to go to grandpa Jacob’s anniversary, Sarah was quick to tell her that she wasn’t welcome there and proceeded to tell Nancy that Jacob wanted a great-grandson as a birthday present.
Furthermore, Sarah told Madelline that she didn’t have the necessary money to buy Jacob a proper gift, and the mistress immediately retaliated telling Nick’s mother that her family was better than Nancy’s.
Sarah merely told Madelline that Nancy was family, thus she could spend all the money she wanted on a gift, but the best present she could give right now was a great-grandson.
