Love can be a tricky thing, especially if the feelings aren’t mutual. You get your heart broken over and over again until you are forced to make a decision. You can either forget about the object of your affection and move on or you can finally man up and try to win his heart over.
One of the things I liked about Blazing Sunlight is that Nie Xi Guang starts off as a weak girl, who always had feelings towards her classmate, a gorgeous guy, who is also witty, smart, and has a great life ahead of him. As the story progresses, the girl becomes a true woman, a heroine who fights for what she wants.
Blazing Sunlight is definitely one of the best books I read so far. And now, some good news, and spoiler altogether. This story finishes with a cliffhanger. We have yet to discover if Nie Xi Guang has finally accomplished happiness in the arms of the man she loves.
Don’t worry though, Gu Man, the author has already published the sequels, so you can quickly find the answers to your questions.

Part 1: Blazing Sunlight Storyline
Nie Xi Guang concludes her internship at an accounting firm in Wu Xi. She is a smart girl, who would rather stay at home and enjoy her mother’s meals, but unfortunately for her, her mom pushes her to do something with her life.
She goes back to her hometown, hoping to reconnect with all her high school friends. They are all happy to have Nie Xi Guang back. Well, everyone but Zhuang Xu. The gorgeous man, the most outstanding student in Finance, who actually thought that Nie Xi Guang was an idiot, completely ignored her.
To add more to their awkwardness, the two of them end up working in the same place and Zhuang Xu applied for financial assistance. His father passed away when he was little, his mother was sick and he took care of his little sister. Apparently, the man was humble and a hard worker, but for Nie Xi Guang, he was arrogant.
Zhuang Xu and Nie Xi Guang like to bicker. The girl used to like the boy when they were in high school, but now she held a grudge against him for always picking on her.
She is even more upset when she learns that the man arranged a meeting with all her colleagues from high school and the only one to not get an invitation was her. A dignified person would let things go, but this isn’t the case for Nie Xi Guang. She will do everything in her power to get close to the man and get her friends back.
Her little game though will have a different outcome and the two of them will feel drawn to each other. Will they finally unleash their feelings and love each other freely?

Love stories between two very different people are heartwarming and engaging. I simply love how Zhuang Xu and Nie Xi Guang play their love-hate game and pretend to dislike each other when they secretly feel an undeniable attraction toward one another.

The girl felt she shouldn’t talk about that sort of thing, especially since she wasn’t going to accept the man in her life. She finished her work, put her stuff away, and, as she was about to leave, she received a message.
Lin Yu Sen apologized for being late, as he had to handle a bit of crisis management, but he believed that things between them were hasty and not thought through carefully. Nie Xi Guang walked out of her office and went straight home. She didn’t even feel like eating. She just nibbled some biscuits.
Soon enough, she heard a soft knock on the door. As expected, a tall, beautiful man was standing at the door. He was upset as the girl had closed her phone completely and he couldn’t reach her.

During the coldest day of winter, Nie Xi Guang stood on the railway platform. She had a sweet tasted of mincemeat dumplings in her bag and the platform was filled with people engaged in different conversations. As the Spring Festival was approaching, everyone had all kinds of activities.
The girl was expecting Lin Yu Sen and wondered what could possibly be his reaction when he would see her waiting for him. As soon as the train pulled into the station, Nie Xi Guang saw the silhouette of the man she was expecting. He took his suitcase and had a small talk with a woman wearing a blue overcoat.
Lin Yu Sen got off the train and started walking towards the exit. Nie Xi Guang followed the man but soon she realized that the woman with the blue coat also followed him. She thanked Lin for helping her with her suitcase but the man simply dismissed her. He came home for Nie Xi Guang.
