Part 1: Main Character of Rejecting, Your Broken Promises
Katrina
She is a woman overshadowed by the narrative the people around her have dropped her in.
Her story is unbearably rugged and shocking.
Katrina is suppressed and physically tortured, but she acts like she doesn’t feel a thing. Her character is determined and patient. Her ability to hide in the shadows of the others in order to avoid problems is amazingly perfected.
She lives a complex life that draws sympathy. Her love doesn’t come easy, but she wasn’t watching and waiting for it. She was disappointed by the one the moon goddess chose for her, but her fate was always somewhere else.
The protagonist of Rejecting, Your Broken Promises must find the truth about her past. The past that she has no recollection of. Her aunt gave much of a hint to the fact that there was so much that she didn’t know. The journey to discovering the truth will be bumpy and shrouded in obstacles, and we can only watch on the edge of our seats, in suspense, as Katrina braves it all.
From the start of her story to the end, Katrina’s experience is something that we could never have fathomed. Her pains and joys, it all comes out beautifully with the authors careful precision.
Part 2: The Story of Rejecting, Your Broken Promises
Rejecting, Your Broken Promises is about Katrina, who experiences pain and abuse like nothing you could ever imagine. She’s punished for something she didn’t do and couldn’t do, literally.
At a younger age, she faced the loss of her aunt who brought her over to the Blood Claw Pack. Her aunt expected that Katrina would be safe in the pack, but the turn of events was something no one could have expected.
Katrina couldn’t escape being blamed for the death of her aunt and the Luna of the Blood Claw pack. She does know there is a lot more to it. Despite her efforts to get people to understand that it was not rogues, Katrina is shut down completely and used as a scape goat.
She learns very quickly that very few people will come to her aid.
Years after the incident, Katrina has finally had enough and is ready to leave the hellhole. She plans for her escape to take place on the same day that the young Alpha of the Blood Claw pack would return.
The day of her escape finally arrives but she is hit with more shocking realizations than she could have imagined possible. She didn’t have much hope in the first place but still, hurt is always hurt.
Rejecting, Your Broken Promises opens with a tragic love story. Well tragic as far as the characters deign to dwell on it.
I like the quiet way the author delves into such a rough plot. Through it all, we must admit that we see a compelling journey.
Part 3: Thoughts on Rejecting, Your Broken Promises
Rejecting, Your Broken Promises really makes you ache. Really, the characters are easy to fall in love with and hate in equal measure. I want the story to last, and it does. It’s a tale of escape. The love and expectations are secondary. The suspense is over the top. Death is just a foot away from the protagonist in the form of an angry Alpha. But what did she do to deserve it? Nothing but be a witness.
However, people like to put blame on other in their grief. Can’t pretend that the story doesn’t put me on edge, because it really does. The author is magnificent in the craft of this tale of a broken young woman. She’s such an uncertain lifeline. But she hooks the reader so wholly.
Generally, the themes of the story make it superbly usual and predictable. The author doesn’t do much that’s new, nevertheless the story still grabs attention and takes you on a turn of various emotions.
The main character goes through so much that breaks her apart at the seams and her impossible love is the heartbreaking and a complete mess. How quickly hate can fester. Even when doubt should not exist, one can be blind to the truth.
However, it’s not the end of the road for the protagonist. Her destiny isn’t limited to the Blood Claw pack.
Part 4: Awesome Chapter from Rejecting, Your Broken Promises
Chapter 5
Katrina didn’t have much in the first place. It was nothing surprising to find that her personal belongings, all could fit into a small plastic bag. She didn’t have to hide it, because it looked like trash.
She’d made plans to meet Amanda at 8pm where her car was parked next to the pack’s hospital. Katrina was meant to set up before the event but was not allowed to participate.
It worked to her favor, but Katrina was still sad as she looked at the cake. She took two minutes to daydream about the event being hers and Timothy’s announcement ceremony. It made her smile.
She soon heard a sound and turned around to find Timothy standing there. She saw him with a cocky smirk on his lips, but that didn’t surprise her as much as the wonderful scent that assaulted her nostrils. He was her mate.
Katrina was quick to hug him, but then saw his face and knew that he’d already known she was his mate. She realized that it was the reason he’d stayed away all this time. He hated her so much for his mother’s death that he couldn’t stand to look at her or be around her.
Katrina let her thoughts calm and told Timothy to get on with his rejection. She knew that someone was probably watching the show and that person was probably Timothy’s future Luna, Fallon, or Alpha James. Katrina already knew Timothy was mad enough to finally hit her, but she’d hoped he wouldn’t.
His hand connected with her face, and she was knocked to the ground.
