Ice Planet Barbarians by Ruby Dixon is a fantasy adventure romance book about a not-so-casual southern girl, Georgie who finds her daily schedule ruined when she shockingly wakes up in an alien spaceship off-world.

Before her abduction, Georgie used to lead a busy life in Florida as a banker. Like every day, she’d come back one night after the usual yelling from angry and impatient customers she got at the bank, and had decided to heal from the stress by sleeping. In minutes, she’s fast asleep and begins to have weird dreams.

It gets weirder for Georgie when she wakes up and shockingly finds herself in an alien spaceship, surrounded by small green alien men and heavily sedated. And by the time reality finally kicks in on her, she has already been dropped in a cage full of abducted young girls from earth too.

In a bid to survive by any means necessary, Georgie first makes friends with her fellow kidnapped earthlings and then they begin to plan how to sabotage and escape from the little green men who have abducted them.

Their plan goes into play and Georgie is the first who successfully kills one of the alien bodyguards – thus cementing herself as the leader of the abducted girl squad.

However they do not have time to celebrate before their ship begins to experience turbulence, and the girls are dropped off the spaceship to free up space in the ship. And to make things worse, they land on a snowy inhospitable planet.

As it is her duty as the leader and the only person with a fairly less serious injury, Georgie volunteers to scout their surroundings. Her primary goal is to find food, water, and shelter, so they can leave their space pods before the green men come back for them again.

Georgie begins to explore Not-Hoth (a name they’d given the planet). She encounters most of the weird life forms of the planet before she eventually stumbles into a trap.

When she wakes up, she finds out that she has been taken hostage by another alien contrastingly different from the little green men who had first abducted her. And this one is not hostile towards her either. Rather it’s caring.

What Georgie does not realize yet, is that she’s supposed to be a fated mate to this weird alien man who’s nursing her back to health.

He has heavy black brows, and four fingers instead of five. He’s seven feet tall with properly built and corded muscles, has ridges on his skin, and has three large splayed toes

Vektal is a seasoned hunter and it was on one of his hunting expeditions that he discovered Georgie, a weird fragile human who caused his khui to sing, signaling that she was his mate.

Chapter two

Barbarian alien

After stumbling into a trap and falling unconscious, Georgie wakes up to a wet warm sensual feeling between her thighs. At first, she thinks she’s dreaming but when she wakes up she finds a huge weird alien feasting on her genitalia as if his life depends on it.

Georgie wants to resist, but she’s overcome but by the tingling waves of sensation between her legs and she succumbs to the alien, letting him work his magic with his tongue, playing and nibbling on her clit till she comes real hard on him, quaking uncontrollably with pleasure.

It’s after she has orgasms that Georgie comes to her senses and becomes wary of the alien. Unlike the previous green men who had been abducted, this one isn’t hostile toward her, instead, he’s sweet and caring. And with such a gesture, the alien earns her trust.

Bonding over such a short period, Georgie urges the alien whom she later learns his name to be Vektal to help her rescue her friends. Vektal does not give her much attention in that area as his primary mission seems to be to feed her and nurse her back to health first.

Vektal carries her on his back and goes hunting food for her, after that, he takes her to a stream to have her bath. Georgie isn’t sure if it’s Stockholm syndrome but she begins to fantasize about doing nasty things with vektal when she sees his huge textured member.

She decides to use this to her advantage. She seduces Vektal, stroking his member, and offers him her body if in return he helps her rescue her friends.

Enticed by her offer, Vektal agrees to help her. He carries his mate on his back and trudges up the mountain, but when he notices that Georgie is too cold to continue the hike, he aborts the mission. Georgie doesn’t take this idea lightly and decides to go rescue her friends herself instead if vektal won’t help.

This is a very huge mistake as she makes a miscalculated step and falls into a ditch. Realization hits her when she looks around and figures out that she hasn’t fallen into a ditch but a den of hungry bug-eyed predators.

Part 3: Conclusion of Ice Planet Barbarians

Ice Planet Barbarian

Ice Planet Barbarians by Ruby Dixon is an overall good book. It focuses mainly on the romance and dilemma between Georgie and Vektal who doesn’t understand why his mate can’t find her Shui. Reading further you’re quickly immersed into the ice planet and the culture of the sa-khui people where Vektal comes from.

A notable quality of the book is its similarity and slight contrast to the Star Wars world-building, which is also mentioned and name-dropped in the book.
