Everyone dreams of life in college. Especially if you get accepted into the one school of your dreams. I know one girl, however, who didn’t get the school she wanted. Rather, she got accepted into the one she dreaded going to the most. Not because the school is inadequate though.
No, it’s because of who would be in the exact same city. Pretty understandable when you think about it. I mean, he is her father. But, while that single fact should make her eager to go, everything else that happened between him and her mother had served to put a huge chasm between them.
The man is almost like a complete stranger. It doesn’t help that he practically married the saltiest b**ch on the planet (the step-monster just doesn’t like her).
To top things off, there are four hunks showing up everywhere with disapproving glares or jabbing commentary. Ivy couldn’t be more ticked off by her new living circumstances. However, she has no idea where she’s come to or what these people really are.
She never expected that there would be so much to see in Idaho. This is just the beginning of a long four years. How will she fare with this new set of people she finds herself surrounded by? Will she be scared off by them? Or will they be the ones to suffer from her unflinching perseverance?
What will Ivy do when she learns the secret she never expected to hear? These people aren’t ordinary and she was going to find out soon.
An amazing thing about this book is probably how the usual tropes are twisted into something so uniquely different.

Part 1: Plot Summary of And Then There Were Four
This story follows Ivy. She is accepted into college and has to move to Idaho. She is reluctant to leave because her father and his new family will be the ones hosting her in their home.
Not to mention, Ivy also knew that her mother wasn’t completely well with her stage two cervical cancer. She doesn’t tell her mother that she already knew in order for her not to worry. Ivy gets on the plane after properly managing her emotions and there she makes a new friend.
Ivy meets two of the four brothers at the airport, who came in place of her Dad. Ivy’s impression of one isn’t stellar. When she returns with them, she comes face to face with her stepmother. Ivy doesn’t mistake the hatred and disgust in her eyes. She chooses to not let anything bother her in this house, especially not this weird family and definitely not her annoying stepmother.
However, never would she have expected that there would be little for her to do in controlling how her life would be dominated. Yes, dominated. Not by school work, but rather by the four men. They will take the life she knew and turn it upside down.
Hopefully, she can survive them. But, what if she can’t? What can she do when she finds out what she had gotten herself into by coming to Idaho? To what extent can she take what life is about to throw at her?
Part 2: Main Characters of And Then There Were Four
Ivy
She is a young woman. She is accepted into one of the best universities for agriculture studies. Deciding not to throw away this opportunity, she gets on a plane and moves down to Idaho where her father is. Ivy has very mixed feelings about her father.
He was never around, usually, he was with his new family. Now, she was going to be living with him. Ivy isn’t exactly looking forward to it. And, it doesn’t help that her mother is sick but pretending not to be for her sake. Ivy would rather stay, but her mother counseled otherwise.
Ivy didn’t know that the dread she had felt and that thing telling her not to leave, may have been on to something. When she gets to Idaho, what awaits her is a reality she never expected. The four males are going to be the one factor in her life that would need to be pushed into something unrecognizable.
The Brothers (Damien, James, Hale, and Talon)
The four brothers meet Ivy and she sends their world into a spiral. They have their secrets, but will they be willing to share(Lol. The secret I mean)? When the time comes, how much can they control themselves and resist the clueless girl?
Part 3: Great Chapters from And Then There Were Four
Chapter Three
Ivy enters the cottage and can’t deny that it looks really good. She drops her stuff and not long after, she’s called away by her father. Her stepmother leads the way with a jibe of course. Ivy rises up to the occasion, refusing to let the woman intimidate her in any way.
When she goes into her father’s office, Ivy remembers to make an effort, even though minimal, in order to improve their relationship. Her father mentions a surprise for her and takes her out to see the brand-new car he got for her. Ivy can’t contain her excitement and hugs him for the second time that evening. Both were going to make the effort and just like that, Ivy agrees to go to the family dinner.
Chapter Four
Ivy contemplates whether it was a mistake agreeing to have dinner with them. Her stepmother looks at her like she’s the most revolting thing on the planet, but Ivy ignores it. The woman, however, makes her sit at the far end of the table beside another one of the brothers she was just meeting. Not long afterward, Ivy watches as the remaining three come in.
She gets confused when she sees that one looks really similar to the one she was sitting next to. She learns they’re twins after pinching herself back to reality. Things get tense at the table when Ivy is asked a question, but she doesn’t disappoint with her answer. It makes Damien leave in a huff and her stepmother goes after him.
Ivy excuses herself and as she leaves for her cottage, she overhears a conversation about her. Ivy makes sure they know she heard them.
