Part 1: Main Character of The Heartless Alpha
Lily
She’s quite a woman, full of pleasant surprises and a ton of spunk. Lily ended up at the Snow Moon pack when she was just a young child. She’d shown up without any memories and the Luna of the pack wasn’t so nice to a stray child.
Lily had been adopted into Alpha Theo’s family, but rather than treat her as a member of the family, Lily was used, practically a servant.
Ridded with scars and bruises from all their torture, Lily had walked to the altar with a bleeding lip. Despite the years spent under that disgusting family’s foot, she remained unbroken. Her body might have been hurt and shattered many times, but not her spirit.
In The Heartless Alpha, our protagonist is a strange but exceedingly amusing character. Her views of her life thus far are quite unique for someone with her experiences. With what she’d gone through, one would expect to see a very destroyed person without hope or expectation. But in Lily’s case, while she was not fooled by the illusion of a perfect life with her mate or her mate’s pack, she knew exactly what the change of environment would mean for her.
Lily must adjust to her new status as the Luna of the Blood Moon Pack.
The Heartless Alpha doesn’t lack its annoying and anger-inducing moments. However, that is exactly what captures our hearts.
Part 2: The Story of The Heartless Alpha
The Heartless Alpha follows Lily who is to be married to a man she has never met. She doesn’t care that much about this particular fact, however. Why? Well, because anywhere would probably be better than where she was.
Truly, Lily hoped to finally be free of the people who tortured her for as long as she could remember. Adopted family? Hardly. These people treated her like a slave and a punching bag. Even right before her walk down the aisle, the wench, Evelyn, pulled Lily over and punched both her cheeks in order to put some color in them. Don’t laugh, this is a serious problem.
In The Heartless Alpha, Lily walks down the aisle with the man who had abused her along with his family. She walked and a scent caught her undivided attention. Her mate was present, and he turned out to be the man she was marrying. Lily was excited and nervous as was her wolf. This could be the freedom she’d always wanted.
However, the smirk from Evelyn made her worried. When she heard the groom’s name, lily finally understood the smug look on Evelyn’s face. Alpha Dimitri Varlos was a well-known, cold-blooded killer. That Alpha Dimitri now turned out to be her mate.
Lily was reluctant to say the words ‘I do’. However, her wolf Aya beckoned on her.
Lily caved and just like that she was married to Alpha Dimitri. She wasn’t optimistic about hat her future days will be like.
Part 3: Thoughts on the Story of The Heartless Alpha
The Heartless Alpha embraces the themes of domestic violence, shame and insecurity, love and loss, justice and revenge. It’s a nice piece and really the author is commendable with the way each of these themes is approached in the story.
There is no needless romance at first and after a short read, you can really tell the direction the story might take. The plot isn’t exactly new or shockingly inventive, but it does have its charm and bursts of excitement.
We calmly follow the protagonist as she finally gets a change of environment from the one that nearly killed her. However, it is a bit too late when she realizes that this freedom was to be tied to her future with a man who wasn’t exactly known for being kind and easygoing. The price of freedom may be paid with her blood, but how come it still feels like a better choice than her previous situation?
Her life might have been full of pain, but maybe he won’t be like the others. His reputation can’t be all true, can it?
The Heartless Alpha is lively, immersive and enjoyable. The readers of this piece will agree that the two main leads of this book are suited for each other and only need to get past each of their respective issues in order to see that.
Part 4: Awesome Chapter from The Heartless Alpha
Chapter Five
Dimitri’s meeting was interrupted by Thara, his sister. She made the others leave the room and full on questioned her brother on what the hell had gone on at the Snow Moon pack.
Thara told her brother of the many cuts on Lily’s back that were made by a silver blade. Dimitri merely asked about the treatment. He was very unconcerned about the fact that Lily thought he was repulsed by her.
Thara was basically left stunned that her brother only wanted to complete the mating bond, whether Lily was mentally prepared or not. Although Dimitri said he would find the one responsible for Lily’s injuries, Thara left the room dissatisfied with his attitude.
Dimitri didn’t care about the woman who was his mate. He thought that mates, Luna’s especially, were potential disasters waiting to happen. While they made one stronger, losing them could drive an Alpha down a path of no return. So, Dimitri would do his best to avoid any familiarity or close intimacy with his mate. He did not have time for love.
As these thoughts occurred, Dimitri got a new visitor to his office.
Dimitri’s wolf warned him over and over not to touch Jennine. However, Dimitri was adamant. He hadn’t completed the mating bond with lily anyway, so he could have a bit of fun.
However, when he finally told Jennine what he wanted, it was hard to complete the task because he wasn’t aroused.
Currently, he was noticing everything about Jennine that he didn’t before, and he didn’t seem to like her as much anymore.
Dimitri could only send her away, ending that relationship forever.
