True love is what we’re all looking for. No one wants to give up a chance at a lifetime of happiness. Especially not after a taste of something dull or unfulfilling as an arranged marriage, a marriage where you never even got to meet the man. It’s a marriage where the certificate was even photoshopped. Just the thought of that could give a person a headache.

Now, if only he would sign the goddamn divorce papers already. Who knows what the crazy man is thinking. He could fail to recognize her face, that was one thing. Firstly, they never met in person and with his dislike of women, that part is justified. However, her name is a different matter entirely. How could a man not even know his legal wife’s name?

Honestly, this is messed up and funny as hell. The chemistry between the two people is just amazing. The hate in the atmosphere could give you goosebumps. But, it is the most addictive thing to watch the two main characters dance around each other, take swipes at each other, even cling to each other unknowingly. She knows the truth, but she won’t tell him.

Take My Breath Away will leave you rolling on the floor or just gasping for air.

Chapter Five

At the store, Carlos recognizes Debbie, not as his wife, but as the girl who kissed him at the bar. Carlos’ assistant only takes a moment to remember that she is Mrs. Hilton, his boss’s wife. He starts to tell Carlos, but Debbie quickly interrupts. She realizes that Emmett is the one who helped with their marriage certificate, therefore he knew what she looked like.

Debbie takes Emmett to a corner, and she explains to him why she wants to keep her identity secret from Carlos. Emmett wonders why she made the decision to divorce Carlos, because most women would want the title of being his wife, as much as his money.

Carlos watches Debbie talk to Emmett with her arm casually thrown over his shoulder. This makes him to misunderstand their relationship. In his mind, he fully brands Debbie as a prostitute. When he remembers that he kissed said prostitute, he quickly barks at Emmett to have her thrown out and banned from the store.

Emmett watched Debbie pull off a whimsical act that leaves everyone speechless, and he has no choice but to send Mrs. Hilton out of the store. However, that is exactly what she wants.

Take My Breath Away - Chapter Twelve

Unfortunately, the principal arrives first. Everyone involved in the fight is sent to the principal’s office. He asks for everyone to give their names, but doesn’t ask Debbie for hers.

Take My Breath Away is amazing. The piece is a pleasure to read. Wonderfully written, I’d say.
