Bound By Honor by Cora Reilly is a contemporary mafia, arranged marriage type of book about the chemistry between Aria and Luca a Mademan whom she was forced to marry to unite their families against a common enemy.
The Outfit (a notorious Chicago-based mafia group) and the New York family had always been at war for time immemorial sometimes fighting for territory or honor as they called it. It would’ve continued that way had they not been threatened by the presence of a new enemy two foreign mafia groups.
Afraid of the might of the presence of the Russian Mob, The Bratva, the Taiwanese Triad, The Outpost, and the New York family decided to put their differences aside and fight these common enemies. As the saying goes picking the devil you know over the angel you didn’t’ they preferred to hold a truce now and come together to fight these new threats.
But holding a truce after being at war for so many decades wasn’t just something that could be accomplished over a handshake. As much as they were coming together to fight a common enemy, they still had bad blood between them, and to prevent themselves from backstabbing each other while fighting the Russian Mob The Bratva’, and the Taiwanese Triad, they decided to solidify the truce with intermarriage between their families.
After a meeting between the two mafia groups, The Chicago Outfit and The New York family, it was decided that Aria the most beautiful woman from the Chicago Outfit and daughter of the consigliere of the boss would marry Luca, the oldest son of the New York family, and future Capo dei Capi after his father Salvatore Vitiello.
This however was an idea that didn’t sit well with Aria for so many reasons including the fact that she feared Luca after hearing a rumor that he became a Mademan at eleven after killing a man and that he’d once killed a man with his bare hands. She also didn’t like that he was five years older than her and that she didn’t get to choose who she married.
All her frustrations stemmed from the fact that as a woman (and like other women) in the mafia, she didn’t have much say for herself and wasn’t given the liberty or privilege to make a decision for herself.
Even when she’d first met Luca when she was fifteen for their engagement, she didn’t like how she was treated like a commodity ready to be sold off or how Luca had asserted dominance over her in her father’s house.
This was all three years ago, and now she was dressed as a bride, being led through the aisle to meet her husband. To her it felt more like she was a lamb between a pack of wolves, being led up to slaughter.
She always felt the urge to run away, but Aria was no fool. A lot of lives depended on the success of their marriage. And a bloodbath would definitely occur if she did because the New York family would want to save face.

Part 1: Main Characters of Bound By Honor
Aria
Aria is a five foot four eighteen years old girl with dark blonde hair and the daughter of the consigliere and advisor to Fiore Cavallaro, the boss of the Chicago outfit. She’s considered by her father as his most prized possession even though there’s her mom, her brother Fabiano and her two sisters Liliana and Gianni.
Aria suspects this could be because her sisters Gianni and Liliana who were two and four years younger than her respectively were too young when he needed someone to marry Luca to seal the end of the feud between the Chicago Outfit and The New York family.
As for her brother Fabiano who was nearly ten years younger, he couldn’t be considered a prized possession because he was a man of his own who would soon grow into a Madman and take his father’s position as were his rights.
Aria loved spending time with her siblings while Umberto, their guard, and their father’s loyal soldier watched over them. Aria disliked Luca because she knew all these would change the moment she married him.
Luca Vitelli
Luca Vitelli is a twenty-three-year-old Mademan and the oldest son of the New York family. He is also the heir and next in line to be the Capo dei capi of the New York Familia after his Father Salvatore Vitelli. He’s six foot five and built like a bull. He is nicknamed The Vice’ for once killing a man with his bare hands.
When others had to wait till they were sixteen to be initiated into the mafia, Luca became a Madman at the age of eleven, after killing a man. A fit even his younger brother Matteo could not achieve.
Part 2: Hot Chapters of Bound By Honor
Chapter Two
Ignoring the preparations for her engagement party with Luca, Aria was busy spending time with her siblings before her brother Fabiano ran off, and they chased after him heartily, half basking in the fun until the little boy collided into a ruggedly handsome six-foot-five young man, built like a bull, whom she immediately recognized to be Luca because of how well he marched the descriptions of him.
He stood in their corridor with his younger brother Matteo and his right-hand man Cesare like pack wolves; and after their first awkward meeting, Aria was more than delighted to escape from his burning gaze.
What she didn’t realize was that things would actually get weirder when her mother made her wear skimpy clothes to her engagement party, which of course attracted lustful gazes at her tender feminine figure.
After Luca had slipped an engagement ring into her finger, things went darker when in the same night, the man whom she was supposed to marry cut off her cousin’s pinky finger in front of her father like it was nothing.
This was partly her cousin’s fault for trying to test The Vice but Aria didn’t like the feeling that Luca could actually assert dominance over her in her father’s house.

Bound By Honor by Cora Reilly is a mafia contract marriage-style book about Aria the daughter of Chicago Outfit’s boss’ consigliere who has to marry Luca the oldest son of the New York family and next in line to be capo dei capi, in a bid to unite their families against common enemies The Bratva and The Triad. This is a very interesting book highly recommended for lovers of media and contract marriage type books.
