In Life With You Book, every statement that the Vice President spoke was directed at her in regard to the deal that they were trying to establish with Chen Hao. They knew that Chen Hao had an interest in Song Xi, so they used her to do their bidding all in an attempt to influence Chen Hao’s decision in their favor because of Song Xi.
While they were in the room, they made a toast, asking Song Xi to specifically make a toast to Chen Hao so that she could get his mind biased. It was as if she was being offered to Chen Hao on a platter of gold by her colleagues. Song Xi was devastated. As if that was not enough, Chen Hao, happy to be in this sort of spotlight, seized the opportunity to get as close as he could to Song Xi, especially physically.
One of Song Xi’s notorious colleagues in Life With You Book suggested that Song Xi and Chen Hao crossed their arms together, and drank from their glasses. Song Xi definitely developed a headache at this point.
Already, she had drunk quite a lot and was tipsy, yet the drama around her kept on coming. How could she possibly do a thing like that? Cross-arm drinking with Chen Hao? That would mean that she had officially become his woman. Chen Hao would not let her go after that even if he knew that she did what she did just to let the moment pass.
Song Xi was stuck. At the far end of the executive table where they sat for the meeting, someone with an intimidating stare glared at her intensely, waiting to see what she would do. She was in this state of confusion, and the way she would handle her current situation will say a lot about her.
Song Xi knew that the man was staring at her because he was waiting for her to make a move that would make her appear stupid. The man was no other than the president of the company, Qiao Zhisheng. I Cannot state it enough that Song Xi regretted attending this meeting.
In Life With You Book, if Song Xi knew that Qiao Zhisheng would be there, or that the Vice President would offer her as a bidding reference to Chen Hao, she would not have attended the meeting. But, she didn’t know Qiao Zhisheng was attending, and neither did she know that the Vice President would betray her after promising to keep her out of the discussion.
After Song Xi had been humiliated long enough, Qiao Zhisheng helped her out by paying heavily for the same deal that the Vice President was trying to strike with Chen Hao, and so Song Xi didn’t have to do any humiliating drama with Chen Hao anymore.
However, in Life With You Book, it didn’t end there, as Qiao Zhisheng demanded that he be given a toast by her after he had offered to score the deal. After all, she just gave a toast to Chen Hao who even offered a lesser bid.
Song Xi felt like a call girl been tossed around to the highest bidder, and Qiao Zhisheng didn’t fail to let her know that she was acting cheaply in public. Part 2: Hot Chapters of Life With You
Chapter 12
In these first two chapters of Life With You Book, a lot happened. At first, the author narrates the setting of where Song Xi was. She was the only lady in that room with several dominating men around her talking business. Before she knew what was happening, she was being set as the bidding factor for Chen Hao.
He was asked to consider that Song Xi, a lady that he was romantically interested in was a member of the company he was going to sell his services to, so he should consider that. As a result of this, the expectation was put on Song Xi to act accordingly in order to influence Chen Hao’s decision. It was such a humiliating spot for her. She was in limbo, to be honest.
In this same chapter of Life With You, after seeing the humiliation that his wife was facing, Qiao Zhisheng stepped in to help, and as a result, fell out with Chen Hao. Chen Hao was genuinely interested in Song Xi, yet he saw that Qiao Zhisheng was making a move at her and he assumed that Qiao Zhisheng just wanted to play with her as he did with other females.
Part 3: Evaluate Life With You
Great book, with a great plot, difficult to guess what is going to happen next even though the trope is pretty conventional. The pace is fantastic and in fact very leading. The English are clear and the plot is exciting. A hundred percent job well done by the author.
