Scarlett Stovall was proud to have the world at her feet, but somehow, her great life ended up in shreds. Misfortunes befell her in succession-miscarriage, disfigurement, a failed career, and a tainted reputation. The woman herself was befuddled by the cause of it all. Perhaps it was due to Ashton Fuller’s appearance. After all, love really could destroy a woman’s life.
What about a girl who’s too martyr in love? I bet stories with this premise are often painful. That’s what In Love Never Say Never. As the title speaks we will definitely see so much tenacity in this story. Well, when do we give up on love? Or do we? Perhaps In Love Never Say Never will give us answers.
I admit I was carried by the book title that’s why I picked up this novel. The next thing I noticed was this was actually a contract marriage with a subgenre of a second chance romance. Okay, since I’m in the mood for a painful love story, I decided to give In Love Never Say Never a chance. Read this review, and let’s both find out if In Love Never Say Never is worth it.

Part 1: Plot Summary of In Love Never Say Never
In Love Never Say Never, out of a grandfather’s dying wish, Ashton Fuller married Scarlet Stoval. What most people don’t know was Scarlet and Ashton’s marriage was more like a pretense. It was all for maintaining a nice image. In reality, Ashton already has a woman he loves- Rebeca.
Rebeca was actually the reason why there was never a chance Ashton would love Scarlet.
In the beginning chapters, it is obvious that In Love Never Say Never is clearly for Scarlet.
She’s got the tenacity to still live with Ashton and endure all the rejection right in front of her face, plus Rebecca’s bullying. Scarlet’s life with Ashton was not a bed of roses, instead, it was a continuous rejection and a battle for Ashton’s affection.
It turns out that just when their agreed date of divorce was approaching, Scarlet found out that she was pregnant, but she was not the only one, Rebeca too was pregnant. She chooses not to tell Ashton that she’s pregnant while Rebeca was playing all her cards like using her child to gain Ashton’s affection.
It was all a constant struggle for love until Scarlet’s life was completely ruined leaving her nothing. The question is will she have a chance to rise or will she have a chance in Ashton’s heart?

Part 2: Main Protagonists of In Love Never Say Never
Scarlet Stoval
Scarlet is a perfect example of a weak to a strong female lead. Honestly, I find her not striking in the beginning chapters of In Love Never Say Never. But we can expect a lot from her character since I bet In Love Never Say Never was for her, which clearly describes her.
Scarlet’s character here in In Love Never Say Never is the kind that does not easily give up on the person she loves no matter how painful it is on her part, even if she’s looking foolish already. Scarlet is a martyr in love.
There are times that you would hate her for that, but I guess that’s what this story is all about. So, reading Scarlet here in In Love Never Say Never made me wish she’ll wake up from being a martyr and I’m hoping that the tables would turn for her in the future. Would it be? Let’s see then.
Ashton Fuller
I hate his character. Well, this may sound like a blunt review of Ashton’s characterization here in In Love Never Say Never, but I guess he’s crafted so effectively that I come to hate him. He’s the kind of guy who cannot see what real love is, and whose woman is worth it.
He’s so blindly in love with Rebecca that he can’t see her real character. He took advantage of Scarlet. He’s always on Rebeca’s side, not carefully looking at the matter about whose real fault it was. He doesn’t see Scarlet. All that he sees is Rebecca. I am expecting that in the latter he’ll have greater pain begging for Scarlet’s love than he has caused her.
Rebecca
So, In Love Never Say Never, there was clearly a love triangle. Rebeca is their love rival of Scarlet. She’s the main antagonist here in In Love Never Say Never.
She’s a bitch who pretends to be a victim. She’s good at pretending and putting up an act. She’s cunning that she could make Ashaton believe all her lies. Nevertheless, I could say that Rebeca’s character here in In Love Never Say Never is effective, yeah, she’s effective enough that you will hate her too.
Part 3: Plot Review of In Love Never Say Never
For me, the plot of In Love Never Say Never is very common. Here, we have a contract marriage and second chance romance theme, blended with the concept of love rivalry. The love competition between the two girls here added to the tension of the story. Although the concept of a love triangle was very common I could say that the characterization made it through.
I think what makes the readers hold on to this story was the expectation of a second-chance romance in the latter part as we are led to expect that Ashton would then realize that Scarlet is the better woman here and that he loves her.
We are eager to see Rebecca’s downfall and the rise of Scarlet’s character. So, In Love Never Say Never gives its readers a lot to expect and that’s what makes its plot charming.

Emmaline Pearson’s a sweet and gorgeous woman who has never been in love. She only spends her time studying and working. Emmaline is the type of person who believes in hard work. Although she’s from a wealthy family, she doesn’t like being spoiled or doing things as most rich kids do.
