Ten years ago, there had been a war between vampires and werewolves. The war is so terrible that the vampires had nearly exterminated the werewolves whose major weakness was that they existed in small sects (or packs).
The werewolves however turned the tides to favor when they united as one and defeated the vampires.
That was ten years ago. Even today, the werewolves still sought means to finally unite all their packs as one: like independent states under a country, because they feared, or perhaps they knew that one day the vampires would return for revenge, and maybe this time they wouldn’t leave room to make mistakes.
People like Alora who came from a lineage of weak werewolves that were easily exterminated by the vampires weren’t part of this grand plan of the werewolves.
The aim was to get stronger, and there was no way this could happen if they let these weak wolves contaminate their bloodline with their poor gene. This was why they wear treated as outcasts.
The only time they were even treated as slightly significant was during their awakening ceremony where they could either get a mate (which was almost a blow to the face of the mate from the strong bloodline but was allowed because it was better they mated with someone strong than procreate on their own to produce weaker wolves) or leave and stop being a burden to the other wolves.
Alora had suffered discrimination for coming from a weak lineage and had since had plans to leave for good after her awakening ceremony.
However, things did not go as planned for her because after her awakening ceremony, she had accidentally come in contact with Colton Santo, and a spark zapped them inwardly, signaling that they were mates.

Alora Dennison
Alora Dennison is the main protagonist of Awakening Rejected Mate. She’s eighteen years old and comes from a pack of weak wolves who used to be simple farmers and abhorred violence until the war came ten years ago and dragged them into it.
Of course when the vampires invaded their puny pack, over forty of her extended family members who made up the pack were annihilated, leaving her as the only survivor. She was eight then.
It was later on that she was picked up by other wolves and dumped in an orphanage for rejects because it was against the creed of werewolves not to help their kind. Else she would’ve been left there so that all weak werewolves would’ve successfully been exterminated.
In her wolf form, Alora is a silver-gray wolf. She inherited these features from her mom who was a silver-white wolf and her father who was a gray one.
She also has red eyes instead of amber when she wants to turn. In human form, she is just a bland white country girl, that is a little over average in terms of being pretty. And she is Colton Santo’s mate.
Colton Santo
Colton Santo is Alora’s mate. He is the son of Juan Santo the unanimously agreed leader of the Packdom (the new united packs of wolves). As someone who was born with the gift of alpha, this also means that someday Colton would soon be the Packdom’s alpha too.
He is extremely gifted and even began to manifest at the age of eight. His bloodline the Santos is inarguably the purest and strongest werewolf lineage. They’re so strong that none of them died during the war with the vampires ten years ago. They’re originally from Colombia.
In terms of looks, Colton is extremely handsome. His genre mixes his father’s Latino features and his mother’s Caucasian features to give him a tempting handsome face with slightly dominant Latino features though.
He’s tall and properly built for a nineteen years old. He used to be an item with Carmen, an extremely pretty girl from a strong bloodline before he found out that Alora was his mate.

Chapter Six
Now that she was eighteen, Alora couldn’t wait to be done with her awakening ceremony so she could leave the hellhole for an orphanage that staying in, and move far away from these wolves that discriminated against her because she was a reject.
Alora endured all the shoves and insults she got from the superior wolves on her way to her ceremony, consoling herself with the thought that after it, she would be free and finally leave. Even though she had witnessed the ceremony afar off, the things she was being asked to do felt foreign to her.
But after she had been handed an anesthetic herb, she painfully transformed into a wolf at the first sight of a full moon.
Everything had someone gone smoothly until Colton’s friend who she had beef began to mess with her. In a bid to save Alora’s stress, and also his friend from going too far and risking being punished by his father, Colton accidentally brushed hands with Alora, and just like that, they got signals that they were mates.
Chapter Eight
Following the uproar that ensued when it was witnessed by everyone that Colton and Alora had imprinted, Alora was quickly shipped off to Santo’s house where she was first assaulted by Carmen (Colton’s long-term girlfriend) before Colton came to her rescue, and then again by Colton’s father who shoved her too hard and then got a warning growl from Colton instinctively.
Juan Santo wouldn’t let such disrespect transfer his aggression toward his son, censuring him severely.
He was disturbed by this new development. His son was going to be the alpha of the Packdom someday, and he didn’t want Alora staining their pure gene. He sought a means to stop their union and even threatened to kill Alora if that was what was required to end it.
