Alpha Blake by Mari Villarreal is a werewolf romance book about a strange gifted werewolf girl who is tasked to make a sacrifice by leaving her pack but begins to get second thoughts when she discovers her mate the night she’s supposed to leave. The book has the following tags: alpha, rogue, mate, and dominant.
Selene has always been an introvert who preferred solitude to interact with people.
And most times people considered her a weirdo, although they’d never say it to her face because she was the beta’s child. However, at thirteen, she began to develop weird behaviors that even made her question if she was indeed a weirdo or not.
Whenever she shifted or went for a run in the woods, she kept having strange visions of an ethereal angelic woman and hearing strange chants and messages from her. It was always too awesome for her to behold that she would usually pass out afterward as if her entire energy had been sapped from her.
These strange events kept happening to her, getting stronger that sometimes she couldn’t remember how she had gotten into the woods in the first place or how she had returned home.
Seeking council among themselves, her parents and pack alpha had realized that it was the moon goddess calling Selene and tasking her to be the pack’s chosen warrior.
This news meant that she would have to leave her pack immediately and go for training. At first, she protested against this but when it was explained to her that she had no choice due to what the repercussions of her actions would bring, she agreed to leave.
On her last night, before she had to leave, Selene faced a serious temptation as she discovered her mate. They claimed and marked themselves without even seeing each other as it was too dark to see. Weighing her options, Selene still left that night without knowing who the mate that had claimed and marked her was.
Returning five years later after training, Selene was shocked to know that her mate was Blake Landon, the alpha’s son, her twin brother’s best friend, and now the current alpha of her pack.
Blake immediately goes into a silent feud with her for abandoning him for years without explanation. They however have to put their differences aside when they are forced to face a powerful vampire clan threatening their existence. For more books like this, check

Part 1: Main Characters of Alpha Blake
Selene Slate
Selene Slate is the main protagonist of Alpha Blake. She has dark brown hair a contrasting opposite to her twin brother Tyler’s raven black hair which she envies. She has fair plumped lips, and fair caramel skin just a bit lighter than her twin brothers.
She has a petite stature and stands about five feet and four inches. Just like the alpha’s son, they’ll (her brother and her) be eighteen soon.
Before she left, Selene used to have a stoic and emotionless temperament. An after-effect of having to deal with all the fake people that befriended her so they could get close to her brother or his best friend Blake.
Unlike other werewolves, Selene has some special abilities. That was why she was sent away to train. Her wolf is called Hazel
Blake Landon
Blake Landon is alpha Brock Landon’s son, and as such he’s the pack’s future alpha. He assumes this position immediately after he turns eighteen, on the very same night he discovered his mate and claimed her before she went AWOL
Aside from being a serious alpha whose number one priority is strengthening his pack by making it strong to fend off rogue attacks that have plagued them, Blake Landon is a hot serious guy. He is arrogant and short-tempered and expects nothing but perfection from his subordinates.
Part 2: Hot Chapters of Alpha Blake
Chapter one
Blake had always known she was strange. Maybe because people around her made her feel that wanting to be by herself was strange, but she never knew that there was more to her than she thought.
She began manifesting at the age of thirteen when she would get weird visions anytime she went for a run in the woods. These abilities got stronger to the extent that she would lose track of how she’d gotten into the woods in the first place or how she got home.
After her parents and the alpha had done some investigations, they found out that she was destined by the goddess to become the pack’s next lead warrior (the pack’s first-ever female lead warrior).
However, this position comes with a few disadvantages with the major one being that Selene had to leave their pack to go and train at the King’s palace, and then join a special elite group of werewolf soldiers who protect humans and werewolves.
Selene tried to protest but when she was warned that refusing to leave would cause the team to terminate the peace treaty, they have thereby leaving the pack prone to rogue and rival pack attacks, she agreed to leave. To stay away from her pack for five long years without contacting anyone, not even her parents or twin brother.
The night that she was supposed to leave, Selene was opportune to discover her mate who had followed her scent into her room. When he reached for the light switch, she stopped him and pounced on him instead of bombarding him with her feral urge to be claimed by him.
They got down to business, claiming each other’s bodies as theirs and marking themselves. Selene left afterward as she didn’t have the chance to wait around and see who her mate was.
Chapter Two
Five years later after training tediously in the king’s palace, Selene was excited that at last, she could finally return to her pack, and most especially to find her mate that she had left just after he claimed her. She felt bad for what she did to him but reassured herself that it was all for the best.
When she got back to her pack, Selene once again perceived that divine scent of her mate that she could never forget, and in a short, while he barged into her room and pounced on her.
It was then that she realized that her mate who had claimed her was Blake Landon, her brother’s best friend, and her pack’s current alpha. However, this revelation didn’t stop them from mating before he asked her to marry him.
