All Grown Up by Vi Keeland is a contemporary romance book about a single mom Valentina who decides to go back to the dating scene after being divorced for eighteen months.

Valentina and her estranged husband Ryan had grown apart two years ago (five for Val) before they officially decided to get a divorce. This was why it was so easy for her husband Ryan to move on.

Now here she was eighteen years later, still with no action in her life, and her best friend Eve who owned a restaurant constantly nagging her about going back to the dating scene – because as she reasoned, it was about damn time she got laid.

It took a lot of push from Eve before Val finally succumbed and decided to sign up at a dating site. She’d set up her profile with witty comments and perks she expected to find in her dream man and then laid back for the notifications which she knew would certainly come back.

She spent a few days weaving through the tons of requests before she finally found the man whom she believed was just right for her. They shared a lot of similarities, including their display picture. However, there was one problem. He was young – too young for her.

Unable to come to a decision, Val narrated her dilemma to her best friend Eve who did nothing other than coax her to continue the conversation with this prospective lover.

Taking her advice Val and her prospective lover Donovan had agreed to give their ‘situations’ a trial for seven days before they could finally agree on whether to go on a date or not.

In those seven days, Val and Donovan had become so obsessed with getting acquainted with each other that they couldn’t stop texting each other.

In those seven days, Val had tried to meet up with other people but none of them really gave her the butterflies that Donovan did. And just as she feared, she agreed to go on the date.

Due to how long she had been away from the dating scene (truth be told, she had barely been in it to start with) Val found it difficult to organize herself and find something nice to wear for the date.

She had almost chickened out and decided not to go on the date had her best friend Eve not intervened and talked sense into her.

With her newfound courage, Val had gone on the date but freaked out the moment she got to the venue. However, Donovan, being sweet, caring, and thoughtful, had guided her softly till she was bold enough to confront her fears and go and see him.

Things didn’t go exactly as planned for Val when she recognized Donovan to be her son’s friend. Donovan’s (which was even his last name) late parents were her neighbors at her summer house, and he used to look after her son when they went to their summer house.

She felt it would be super awkward dating him coupled with the fact that he was too young for her (although he never acted like it for once). She was twelve years older than him.

As persistent as always, Donovan (Ford actually) did not back down but rather kept pushing.

After ignoring him for weeks Val had decided to visit her summerhouse which she shared with her ex-husband this summer but was shocked to see that her neighbor Bella had decided to visit the summer house this year – and her brother too, Ford Donovan.

This disturbs Val because she’s uncertain if she can fight the sexual attraction between her and this young stud throughout the summer.

Ford Ryan Donovan is a twenty-five years old handsome stud. He has tousled dark blond hair, strong masculine features, a rugged jaw coated in day-old stubble, sun-kissed skin, broad shoulders, a prominent nose, and eyes the color of honey.

After his parents’ untimely death, Ford had a very rough start at first; adopting his sister Annabella and taking control of his father’s real estate business.

Making this sacrifice so his younger sister could have a comfortable life had cost him his youth, but it was a price he cheerfully paid because of how much he cared for his sister.

Along the way, Ford had made some mistakes like womanizing and then blowing his parents’ insurance money to fund his lifestyle, but he knew better now he was grown up.

And it was while he was checking out a dating site specifically for work-related purposes that he stumbled upon Valentina Davis’ profile and decided to send her a request

 Rugrats Grown Up Chapter Seven

After driving all the way from town to the summer house to keep an eye on his sister, Ford was stunned when he saw Valentina looking alluring in her yoga outfit which did nothing but display her curves.

Determined to have her, and puzzled about why she’d been ignoring him, Ford played games, toying with Valentina’s shyness just so he could spend some alone time with her. And when she invited them (Ford and his sister) for breakfast, he quickly jumped at the opportunity.

When they were alone, Valentina found it very difficult to resist the sexual tension between them. While she was cooking, Ford accidentally brushed against her back while trying to take bacon.

This momentary skin contact had caused her breath to hitch and her skin to tingle with excitement.
