Darlene had it hot for her with her husband, Avery. A man who didn’t love her at all and claimed that Darlene connived with his grandmother to chase the woman after his heart abroad so that Darlene would have him as her husband. But according to A Wound That Never Heals Novel, Darlene was innocent of the accusation.
The truth of the matter was that the horrible person in the triangle of chaos was Vivian, Avery’s preferred love interest. Before Darlene and Avery got married, Avery had an accident and was in the hospital with nearly no hope for survival. That time, Vivian swore never to have any romantic connection with Avery because she felt that he would become a vegetable. Vivian literally abandoned him.
Avery and Darlene got married, and Vivian returned years later after Avery’s grandmother. She claimed that Darlene and his grandmother chased her abroad to make room for Darlene to get married to Avery.
Of course, Avery’s grandmother had died, so no one could bear witness apart from Darlene, who Avery hated and would never believe.

Part 1: Stand Out Characters Of A Wound That Never Heals
Darlene
If there is any female lead that suffered and toiled and was just outrightly weak because of circumstances that were way beyond her control, Darlene of A Wound That Never Heals Novel should be mentioned among the top three. Darlene had just been diagnosed for a heart disease that was guaranteed to take her life in six months.
As if that was not enough, her husband Avery, hated and despised her with everything in his heart. He accused her of forcefully getting married to him with the aid of his grandmother. Avery beat Darlene so much and treated her less than a rag doll. Darlene later found out that she was pregnant for Avery, and he asked her to abort the baby.
Avery
Avery is the lead male character of A Wound That Never Heals Novel. He was the hideous husband of Darlene. He hated Darlene so much, I bet he wished she dropped dead. Avery was in love with a lady called Vivian, one who abandoned him at his most critical moment. Vivian lied to Avery that it was Darlene and his grandmother that worked together and made her runaway abroad. Avery believed her and hated his wife greatly to the extent that she was dying of a heart disease right under his nose, and he had no idea.
Part 2: Plot Of A Wound That Never Heals
Darlene was married to Avery for more than two years, and she confessed that occasionally she had to listen to him call Vivian’s name in bed while he was with her. Amidst that sort of humiliating reality, Darlene remained faithful to her husband. The words of the doctor when he told Darlene that she had a heart failure and would require a transplant echoed in her mind for a very long time.

Faced with a grave illness, A Wound That Never Heals narrates that Darlene proceeded to signing the divorce papers that her husband, Avery had left behind for her to attend to. While Darlene signed the divorce agreement as well as the report that said that she was terminally ill with a heart failure, someone kicked the door open and barged into the room. It was none other than her husband, Avery.
Avery came in and tossed Darlene against the wall according to A Wound That Never Heals Novel. As soon as he started to harass Darlene physically, he accused her of conniving with his grandmother to chase Vivian Sheridan, the supposed love of his life, abroad. Apparently, Vivian Sheridan had returned from her sudden travel abroad, and told Avery that it was his now dead grandmother and Darlene that sent her away, but it was a lie.
Vivian had rejected Avery at a point in time when he needed her the most. He was in a long coma and ina vegetative state for a long time and Vivian, afraid the Avery would never make it back to life as a whole man, denied and abandoned him. Then she fled abroad. Only for her to returna and make this claim about Darlene and Avery’s grandmother.
As a result of what Vivian Sheridan told him, Avery was stupid enough to believe her and immediately filed for divorce from Darlene. Darlene stylishly asked Avery if he would still opt to abandon her if he heard that she had just some time to live, and he sternly said that he would do it repeatedly to her. Darlene’s heart was tremendously broken. Since Avery hated her so much, there was no need for her to hang around than to sign the divorce agreement.
Three days later, Darlene happened to see Avery again. He had abandoned her and had been at the hospital with a pregnant Vivian, and he returned home to continue tormenting Darlene as he had been doing the entire time. Darlene, according to A Wound That Never Heals Novel, coughed and spat out so much blood to the extent that she had to be taken to the hospital.
Even at that, Avery did not spare her a moments rest as he still tossed and threw her around the ward. The icing on the cake in this situation was when Avery found out that Darlene was pregnant. Oh yes. Eventually, after being married to Avery for three years plus, she was pregnant at such a time when it was risky for her.
Seeing that Darlene was pregnant even though she had just six months to live, the doctor advised her against carrying the baby, but Darlene, who was obviously in a desperate state, argued that she must give birth to that child and plant her seed before she dies.
The doctor listened to her and was going to help her see to the delivery of the baby who would obviously be born prematurely, but then Avery overheard what Darlene and the doctor were talking about and demanded that Darlene had an abortion.
Part 3: Conclusion Of A Wound That Never Heals
The author of A Wound That Never Heals Novel did a great job in connecting Darlene’s extremely feeble and poor emotion. Darlene, the weak female lead was going through the most perilous time in her life, and the author penned down her emotions deeply enough for readers to feel it. I think that entails a great attention to detail, and the author carried out the assignment perfectly. Kudos to the author on an interesting and award worthy book.
