True to the novel’s name, Re: Evolution Online’s main focus is on a fictional online game called Evolution Online, and Chang Liam a.k.a Liam is one of the players and main characters in the novel. Liam is seeking revenge on people who have bullied and beat him in the past through the game capsule that he purchases in a nearby store.
Just when Liam has paid for the game capsule, he realizes that every game capsule in the Re: Evolution Online universe will eventually change into Evolution Online. There, the governments will change into Guilds and Kingdoms, and he is more than prepared to live his game life and avenge his opponents in the gaming world.
That’s why the title of this novel is Re: Evolution Online. Now, Chang Liam of Re: Evolution Novel is no longer a sore loser with bad lucks in general. He is more than ready to conquer the Evolution Online game once again, with his new stats, inventories, titles, and also, ways of attaining glory and building relationships with the NPCs.
The character creation phases in Re: Evolution Online feel so real to me! It’s like a smarter version of Augmented Reality. I would try my gaming life like Liam’s in Re: Evolution Online if someone gives me the chance…
But perhaps, I will spend more time in the character creation steps, so my stats will grant me more luck!

Part 1: Meet The Characters Of Re: Evolution Online
Chang Liam
Chang Liam is the main male character of the Re: Evolution Online novel. Anyways, “Chang” is his family name, so, everybody in the story refers to him as Liam. Liam has a younger sister named Meilin, whom he refers to as Mei Mei.
, Unlike his younger sister, Liam is a laidback or relaxed person. At the same time, Liam is also a blunt and opportunistic person. So, setbacks like people beating him, attempting to destroy his loved ones, and more, don’t affect him. When I read the novel, he seems to me like a person who always manages to get his way out.
The Non-Playable Characters (NPCs)
There’s a reason why we refer to the Re: Evolution Online novel as the “Hottest Game Novel”. It’s because the presence of the game’s Non-Playable Characters a.k.a the NPCs becomes a highlight of the novel. After all, what’s a game without any NPCs?
Eleana is the first fairy NPC that Liam encounters, and she is in charge of the character creation process. As we read through the novel, we also know other NPCs in the novel, like the NPC in the Crafting Room, Training Hall, Pawn Shop, and more.
Part 2: Story Of Re: Evolution Online
The story of Re: Evolution Online novel is difficult from other novels that place the focus on the characters. Instead, an online game universe called Evolution Online is the focus of Re: Evolution Online book, even though there are also characters that embark on their journeys in the fictional online game.
Enter the world of Chang Liam, an Average Joe in every life aspect: Grades, sports, appearances, lives, anything! Not stopping there, Chang Liam (or Liam) of Re: Evolution Online is also a man who suffers from low self-confidence. It’s all because he feels unable to protect his loved ones; his loved ones are destroyed in front of him while he struggles with his inability to fight.
Fortunately, Liam is not that bad – he still has a pretty much normal life and some money left in his pockets. So, he re-enters the unchanged online game universe after he purchases a game capsule. The Re: Evolution Online universe begins once again as Liam enters the game’s portal and begins the character creation process.
Alas! He found that his statistics and inventories were so pathetic. Now, he would have to think of ways to regain his powers – both in the game and in the real world!
Part 3: The Author Of Re: Evolution Online
Yolo, the author of Re: Evolution Online, sounds like a familiar name to many webtoon-based novels. After all, Yolohy seems like an anime and manga lover. Even though I’m not clear about how to refer to the author of Re: Evolution Online novel, I know that Yolohy’s love for all things related to anime and manga doesn’t stop in the profile picture.
All novels that Yolohy has written and published always have anime and manga elements in some parts of the stories. Re: Evolution Online is one of the anime and manga-based novels that Yolohy has authored.
Even though this novel has game-like storylines (and it’s indeed an online game-based novel), we can see the anime and manga-like illustrations on the novel’s covers.
Not stopping there, the character’s movesets and the ways Yolohy names the different places in the universe are similar to what we witness in Japanese animation-based RPGs or the JRP Games. I can say these whole things because I’ve played some JRPGs before on all of my electronic devices.
As for social media presence, I would say that Yolohy doesn’t have any social media pages to promote the books or interact with readers. However, we know the author responds faster to readers who comment on each of the story’s paragraphs in the novel platform.
Part 4: Alternative To Re: Evolution Online
Do you like action novels where you get to see the character’s weapons and his/her killer moves that pierce the enemies’ weak points, just like what you’ve read in Re: Evolution Online? Dreame’s His Revengeful Queen can be your alternative to Re: Evolution Online! There are lots of actions and martial arts-related scenes that are involved in the novel.
What’s more appealing is that the main character of Dreame’s His Revengeful Queen is a female! Her name is HeavenleeNicollette Brady, a 21-year-old woman who teaches ninth-grade Algebra at Fairmont Junior High and has several dark pasts surrounding her life.
She is in love with a mafia named Carlisle Manzo, and this whole mafia romance thing also makes the Dreame novel more interesting to read.
Summary of His Revengeful Queen:

This tall and attractive teacher is also someone with a dark past and plenty of badass assets that she buys for herself. She also masters the use of a gun from her father and a sword from her mother. In addition, Heavenlee has also trained underground martial arts for six months, which makes her someone not to mess around with.
The Heavenlee character of Dreame’s His Revengeful Queen novel won’t be complete without her mafia love, Carlisle Manzo. She only shows her sweet spots to Carlisle, along with the students whom she continues to save from people who try to harm her or the students.
I’m thinking that Heavenlee from His Revengeful Queen appears to be more powerful than Liam in Re: Evolution Online! Bonus point: She doesn’t have to be so desperate in loaning everything, like what Liam does in the Re: Evolution Online novel.
