In the beginning of Rejected and Reclaimed, we are dropped into the sad and miserable life of Lilith who has had truly one of the most tragic pasts. After being kicked out of the South Texas Pack, she was confined in a tiny little hut with a restroom and shower.
Her father, the Beta of South Texas Pack’s Alpha, had been killed along with his wife and all that Lilith heard was a loud sound before witnessing her dead parents. She was blamed for it by her pack and made an outcast. The writer successfully got me invested into the story in a mere few paragraphs, incredible.
Lilith was punished for every excuse the pack found and had to cook meals for over 300 pack members. The next scene really had my blood boiling. Lilith’s strawberry hair was growing unhealthy, her hazel eyes had a dull sense to them, and her cheekbones were obnoxiously visible.
I was furious by the treatment of her pack, only allowing a maximum of three slices of bread per day for her while she cooked their meals.
Silas, the alpha’s son pushed her aside and slammed her down as soon as he met her. The alpha of the pack, for her eighteenth birthday, gave Lilith the choice to either be disassociated from the pack and leave or to keep working as she was and eventually die with nobody mourning for her.
She was to make the decision next morning, while she was making breakfast Silas broke in and rejected her as his mate. I was just as surprised as you were when I found out she was Silas’ mate, though this drove Lilith to leave the pack. After staying in a motel and eating food, a striking pain kept annoying Lilith.

Reclaiming Process Rejected and Reclaimed
While Lilith moved out of the motel, another werewolf by the name of Ruby pounced at her and forced her into the ground asking for Lilith’s intentions. Lilith announced her background to Ruby and the reason she left her pack to become a rogue, following up by saying that she needs a healer immediately for the pain she felt.
Ruby was convinced and naturally feeling bad for Lilith, she was taken to Ruby’s pack and a healer analyzed Lilith. It turns out the pain was due to Lilith’s wolf being sealed using magic and that her wolf was fighting it.
After being injected with a serum that would ease the pain but not eliminate the magic, she blacked out. I had my jaw wide open throughout these scenes as I felt that so much was being revealed to me yet I wasn’t even at the good part.
Lilith woke up in a cabin, after trying to run away she was stopped by a handsome werewolf, Damian, who then fed her while answering all her questions. The pack generally lived in many small cabins and was given freedom to do whatever they wanted. The pack also did not see Lilith as a threat despite being a rogue and treating her well. Ryker James, the alpha of the pack treated her well too.
From this point onwards, Lilith’s life started to get brighter as she felt that she had a place in the world. This was a complete reverse of what she was experiencing prior to her being looked after.
Part 2: Main Theme of Rejected and Reclaimed
Rejected and Reclaimed is a story that represents its title very well. After being rejected, Lilith Conner gets a new mate, one that is much better than the one who rejected her.
Fall and Rise, that is the main theme of Rejected and Reclaimed. We as the reader feel overly sympathetic for the tragedies that Lilith went through, though as she meets Ryker and is treated with a warmth that is oh so desirable, we feel envious at the end of the story.
The novel itself is also humorous and comedic, doing it in a fashion that feels natural and is actually pretty hilarious. The comedy will never be in your face, though you’ll feel it within you. The writing appeals to the reader in these intricate and low-profile manners which I appreciate so much about the series.
Self-discovery is also a very major theme of this series. Lilith always thought of herself as nothing and quickly apologized in fear for every mistake she made, which is evident with her first interaction with Ruby. Though, she develops as a character and in rank, soon realizing that she was destined for great things as her parents told her before death.
Romance is ELEGANTLY done throughout this series and we appreciate it. The series takes romance to the next level, taking it through stages of life that every human goes to. Usually in most novels marriage would be the end of it, though the author saw something beyond that and I remark this as a beautiful portion of the series.
Part 3: Conclusive Remarks
Rejected and Reclaimed is a sweet story that shifts your mood into something that proliferates delight. It is sweet, wholesome and worth every second of reading it. The progression within this story was beautiful and appreciable.
Character development was amazing, especially for Lilith. As you read you see her personality change as she goes through a sense of realization that she is no longer the garbage that she was always made out to be. The characters themselves, be it side or main, are interesting and lovable.
The story itself, despite being oriented around werewolves, was very simple and to the point. Even newer readers would familiarize themselves with this simplistic story that tells its own tales.
The author kept this novel very short; they focused on quality over quantity and that is something that deserves praise in itself. If you want to finish a novel within a day to brighten it up in a phenomenal manner, Rejected and Reclaimed is for you.
