The beginning to Win Her Back sets the tone deeply for a vast portion of the series, setting a basis for future moments of character development and it also develops a strong connection between the reader and the main characters.
The story starts off with Terence Qi caressing a woman in his bed, with her complaining that he was being a little too rough. He reacted in a way that made the woman’s heart flutter, though before things could get steamier, the queen of the series arrives: Hester.
She knocks over and over on the door to an obnoxious extent. Coldly staring at the door, Terence realized that it could only be Hester. Being aware that Terence had no intention of opening, Hester pulled out a key and opened the door with it.
After entering, Hester was presented with the sight of two naked bodies with each other. She produced the most innocent reaction, looking away and wondering why they were naked in the first place. The woman with Terence questioned why his maid was so impolite, this was because Hester came into the room with a maid outfit and a bowl of soup.
In a bathrobe, Terence approached Hester calmly and remarked that he was wrong thinking that Hester had no knowledge of intercourse.
She replied saying that the only reason she was there was to bring him soup since he came back from the rain. These words were torturous for Terence to hear considering Hester has speech problems.
Terence hated every element of Hester and told her to get out, moving his hand in a manner that got some of the soup on Hester’s hand. Terence then degraded her in the worst imaginable ways and slammed the door as she left. The thing that stuck with Hester the most was that her fiance told her he wasn’t attracted at all to her.

Part 1: The Importance of Win Her Backs First Chapter
This introduction, everything about it, was perfect. The contrasts between Hester and Terence were perfectly described in this chapter and it laid the groundwork for the future chapters in a manner that organized them beautifully.
The treatment that Terence gave, the execution of said treatment in combination with the writing made him feel like an evil entity that deserves no attention whatsoever which makes it even harder for him when the agenda is to ‘Win Her Back.’ The reader takes sides, obviously with Hester, and grows alongside Hester in trying to accept Terence’s character in the later chapters, which is quite a difficult task.
The characters were also introduced in a fashion that interests the reader oh so much. The very concept of a disabled fiance not being especially mad, but embarrassed, at her to-be husband for being in bed with another woman is one that makes you pity her situation even more.
The reader gets so invested in the novel, urging to find out which chapter does Hester the justice she deserves. That was the case for me, at least. The point is the introduction was a magnificent way to reel in the audience.
Part 2: Main Theme of Win Her Back
Win Her Back undertakes romance and exaggerates it to a whole new level. Love in this case feels very bittersweet when we realize what the characters had to go through to achieve that love.
Redemption for Terence is something that the plot essentially revolves around for a while, and after the rage-inducing, blood-boiling mistreatments that he imposed on Hester, we’re in for a ride for that factor. The reader feels so sympathetic for one character that the story feels unrealistic to progress in a way that defies our expectations, though the author somehow pulls it off.
The exploration of romance in an environment where one of the individuals in a relationship is disabled is one that provokes your interest and the execution of it was splendid as well, with one of the most noticeable cases being Hester’s inability to process the meaning of her fiance in bed with another woman.

Part 3: Heart-melting Hester in Win Her Back
Hester is undeniably the bread and butter of this novel and my liking for this novel would have been compromised to detrimental extents without the presence of her character. Her character is simply adorable as if the author knows how to manipulate the hearts of the reader.
Her cute way of turning around in shame when entering her fiance’s room when he was objectively at fault, the cute way of knocking at the door and inevitably giving up, the cute act of saying, “My Soup,” after some of the soup bruised her hand, the cute act of her curling into a ball out of frustration and the cute act of getting bright red by the sight of her handsome fiance approaching her just made my heart melt and it most certainly will for you as well.
The passion readers have for this novel is characterized purely by Hester. Most forms of intensity in this novel will be a byproduct of the experiences that Hester has been through, though this doesn’t mean to discredit any of the other meaningful scenes not relevant to Hester.
Part 4: Fitting Words for Win Her Back
The author has a form of writing that really expresses itself. The words feel very meaningfully placed, the tenses all make sense, each and every adjective adds one thing or another to the scene and there aren’t many pointless words that take away from any moment within the novel.
There’s always a set tone for each scene that the writer wants to set, and an image is almost always placed for every intense or casual scene that takes place. That signifies that the writing is successful in expressing the imaginary prowess of the reader.
Part 5: Wrapping Up
Win Her Back is a novel that was created beautifully with ample amounts of passion, skill, and effort. There are very few shortcomings that one could analyze in regard to this novel and a surplus of positives that one could spout out relentlessly.
The characters are interesting, the rate of character development in this novel is sky-high, the writing is awesome, the overall tones and themes of this novel feel well-defined and meaningful and the story in general is extraordinarily good. Win Her Back is an absolute must-read novel for you, there’s only something to gain from this and nothing to lose.
