Part 1: Plot Summary of Not Rejected Just Unwanted
The story follows Raine. It is her seventeenth birthday, and the one thing that makes her super excited for this day is that she will get to meet her mate. Raine has been looking forward to this day her whole life. It was the day she would get her happily ever after.
She goes to school on this day and catches a very alluring scent. She follows the scent, and comes upon Elijah Woods and his girlfriend Rose. When Rose leaves, Elijah takes Raine to a secluded space to talk. There, she can see the pity in his eyes. It only takes a few words for Raine to catch up. Elijah knew she was his mate, but he didn’t want her. He really loves Rose.
Raine is disappointed, nevertheless she asks a favor of him. She didn’t want to be rejected on her birthday, so she wanted him to delay it for one day. Not long after her conversation with Elijah, Raine is crowded by multiple people and she gets beaten up badly. The one who cones to her rescue is none other than the Alpha.
He effectively stops the violent students and helps Raine to the infirmary. They return from the doctor’s to the pack house and Elijah shows up for the second time that day, and this time he was angrier. The Alpha shuts him down, pointing out that he didn’t have the right to complain or be angry.
The Alpha, Jonathan, makes an inner decision to protect Raine. One lost a mate, the other was unwanted. Fate definitely has a lot more in store for both of them.

Raine Andrews
Raine is a girl who just turned seventeen. She has hopes of finding her mate on her birthday. Raine looked forward to her happy ever after. And, on this day she would get it. Except her mate is someone unexpected, someone who already has a romantic attachment.
He doesn’t dislike her, but he doesn’t want her either. Raine is disappointed, but she doesn’t want anything to ruin her birthday. For this reason, she asks her mate to delay his rejection by one day.
In this state, she’s beaten and saved by the Alpha.
Jonathon
He is the Alpha. He lost his mate, and therefore knows the pain it brings. Jonathon sees Raine being beaten by a crowd and saves her quickly.
He helps her to the doctor’s and when he learns of her mate problem, he can’t help but sympathize with her. He refuses to let Elijah come near her, and makes up his mind to protect the girl.

Chapter One – So Much for My Happy Ending
Raine is excited about meeting her mate on her seventeenth birthday which is today. She prepares and goes to school. Not long after she arrives, a scent lures her to where a well-known couple stood engrossed in each other.
Elijah Woods stood with his girlfriend and when he notices Raine, he says goodbye to his girlfriend and leads Raine away to talk. Raine is already able to see the pity he held in his eyes. She doesn’t need to be told twice.
As he begins to speak the damning words, she interrupts him. She asks Elijah for a favor, that he should hold off on rejecting her until the next day. I mean, he was ready to cause this girl brutal pain on her birthday? Just wow.
Everything she had hoped for… Raine’s happy ever after is completely shattered this way: her mate didn’t want her.
Chapter Five – There Will Be Pain In The Future
Jonathon texts Elijah to bring back Raine’s truck. He takes the drowsy and bruised Raine to the pack house and starts to wonder how Elijah could reject someone as beautiful and kind as Raine.
Elijah soon appears, demanding that Raine be given to him. Jonathon refuses, easily pointing out he had no right to demand for Raine. After he dismissed Elijah, Jonathan takes Raine up to his room where he lays her on the bed.
Jonathon wants to leave but Raine holds on to his hand. She begs him to stay, and so he lays down on the bed, beside her. He looks at Raine as he makes up his mind to protect her.
