The story follows Fu Yunruo who transmigrates into a novel as the vicious stepsister of the protagonist. Fun Yunruo encounters an unexpected situation upon her arrival in this world, where she wakes up beside a strange man. She did not take the time to look at this man’s face and just ran out of there. Fu Yunruo sorted through the memories of the original owner and realized that the novel she read omitted a lot of things. The so-called vicious sister was a victim of the bitch protagonist and her mother scheming to take everything from her. Fu Yunruo’s position as the rightful first daughter and her fianc’ ‘ they took it all and she ended up on the streets. She had become hardened and tried to drug the stepsister but ended up being the one drugged. Now, Fu Yunruo was on the run.
She found herself pregnant. She could not return to her unreliable family for help. So, Fu Yunruo decided to raise her baby herself. She moved back to the hometown she had in her original world, but it was different in the novel, and she didn’t find any familiar person there. However, the place is welcoming and away from the city.
Chi Wen died with a heart full of hate and resentment. He was then reborn to start over from his baby years. Chi Wen found himself looking at the mother who was going to abandon him. Her world was where her grandparents were. The same people that took care of her for so many years. It was during the period of intense worrying; she had a dream where she saw herself taking care of her grandparents. It was not a memory she had experienced, and it was too vivid to be a mere dream. Therefore, it could only mean that the souls of herself and the original host were swapped. Fu Yunruo only felt relief at this. She wasn’t trying desperately to return to her world. Her life was now here with her son. The same child she felt was making fun of her. But how can a baby make fun of someone?
Fu Yunruo has to endure all the stigma that comes with being a single mother. She has to earn money to take care of her son. What can she do now? Through everything, the only source of her persevering spirit is her cute baby boy. Fu Yunruo already knew the future of the baby she gave birth to. She will give him love so he doesn’t go astray. What she doesn’t know is that the child already had adulthood awareness and memories of a previous life.

Fu Yunruo proclaimed the name she had picked for her son: Fu Wenwen meaning ‘warm’. She changed it from the one he had in the old story. She wanted her son’s life to be filled with warmth. That he would not taste the world’s coldness. The new name was in line with his original name and also contained her wish for her son.
Auntie Mei gave a smile and confirmed it was a good name for the child. When Fu Yunruo went to confirm from the baby in the stroller, he was flailing his limbs and shouting. Fu Yunruo took it that the child liked the name, too. However, it was actually the opposite for Chi Wen. The name was not what he wanted, and he was trying to show his protest against the uncool name.
Fu Yunruo and Aunty Mie continued to discuss in lower voices. Fu Yunruo was looking for a job. Her money had almost run out and she needed something to sustain herself and the baby. There was little employment opportunity in the countryside, however. Nevertheless, Aunty Mei Said she would ask around.
Chi Wen naturally grasped onto this conversation and then he thought that this woman had abandoned him because she couldn’t afford to raise him. Chi Wen was angry.
