Part 1: My Husband Wants Me Dead Storyline
On a cold Spring day, Esther was released from prison. She spent five years in jail for committing a heinous crime against her husband’s grandfather.
The authorities, along with Bradley, her beloved spouse, found her guilty of removing the man’s oxygen mask and causing his rapid health degradation.
Crying and heartbroken, Esther went to grandfather Thomas’s funeral to pay her respects. No one had believed her innocence except for him. Seeing her audacity to come to the funeral, Bradley approached his wife furiously, yanked her hand and dragged her outside to his car.
Without further warning, he tried to push himself on her, only to be interrupted by the ringtone of his phone. Liliane was calling to let him know that their son’s condition has worsened.
Picking up Esther, Bradley drove to the hospital and shoved the woman towards the doctor, urging them to have his wife tested for compatibility with his son. Felix needed bone marrow transplant and time was running out.
Laughing, Esther brushed the doctor off, stating she could never help Bradley’s child with Liliane, not as long as her children died during childbirth in prison. She wanted them to suffer, just like she suffered for the loss of her babies.
Hearing her stubbornness, Bradley confessed that her kids were still alive and, if she were obedient and agreed to donate bone morrow, she would find out the whereabouts of her infants.
Seeing the proof of her husband’s words, Esther had to agree. Sitting on the hospital bed, she was visited by Felix, who thanked her for helping him and revealed to the girl the whereabouts of her kids, as he recognized the children and the house from the picture Esther had from Bradley.
Without thinking twice, Esther ran away to check out the information and, indeed she found that Pixie and Tinkerbell, her daughters were taken to a foster home. Unfortunately, Pixie had just been adopted and Tinkerbell was very ill. Just like Felix, she had leukemia and needed bone morrow transplant.
Back at the hospital, Esther asked the doctors to make the necessary tests to learn whether she was also a match to Tinkerbell and the results came out positive. She could save both Felix and Tinkerbell.
An enraged Bradley punished Esther for leaving the hospital and asked the doctor to perform the surgery as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the woman also finds out that her daughter suffered an accident and it’s currently in the hospital, with little chances to survive. She needed urgent surgery.
After saving Felix’s life, Esther got up from the hospital bed and crawled outside to grab a cab and reach the People’s Hospital, where Tinkerbell was. She wanted desperately to save her daughter.
As she reached the hospital, the doctor could only present his condolences, as the little girl was no longer alive. Desperate and heartbroken once again, Esther demands a paternity test to prove that Bradley was the little girl’s father. She wanted him to experience her pain.
The man never believed her innocence, no matter how many times she told him she had nothing to do with Thomas’s precarious health, as it was Liliane who dared to take away his oxygen mask.
Even more, he believed that Esther’s children had a different father and this is why he never cared for them. Things change though, as Bradley learns the truths one by one.
Liliane tricked him and killed his grandfather, Esther has always been a faithful wife and bore his children, Felix was stolen by Liliane at birth and was actual his and Esther’s baby and Liliane did everything in her power to harm his wife and child.
What will Esther do when Bradley will finally have a change of heart? Will she take him back?
Part 2: Heartbreaking Chapter From My Husband Wants Me Dead
Before diving into the story, I have to tell you that My Husband Wants Me Dead novel is full of torments and grieves, which will flood you with a great deal of emotions. Don’t worry though, there are also plenty of wonderful, joyful moments that you will love throughout the story.
My Husband Wants Me Dead Chapter 20
As Jasper wheeled the fragile Esther to the doctor, the man in white could only express his condolences. He had done everything he could, yet he could not save Tinkerbell.
Esther got up screaming at the doctor to go back in and save her daughter as Jasper could only hold the woman and try to make her see reason. There was nothing they could have done to prevent the little girl’s death.
She was desperate as she didn’t even get the chance to tell the girl she was her mother or even hold her once in her arms. Esther truly hoped she was just dreaming and that she would wake up any minute from that dreadful nightmare.
Seeing her despair, the doctor urged Esther to go see her daughter and tell her that she’s her mother. Hearing is the last sense people lose when dying so she might still hear the woman.
Esther approached Tinkerbell, her eyes still filled with tears. She told the little girl to not be afraid as her mommy would take her home as long as she opened up her eyes. But the little girl couldn’t do that anymore. She was gone.
Part 3: My Husband Wants Me Dead Book Review
Without a doubt, the highlight of the novel is the female lead character. My Husband Wants Me Dead Esther is a tremendous character, perfectly described by the author.
As you read her story, you simply can’t help feeling her emotions, her sorrow, her pain and even her love. Esther is one of those characters that you know it’s going to change at some point during the novel.
After all, there is only so much pain someone can take without retaliating. I must way I have eagerly waited for her to make the decision to get revenge on those who tormented her. And I also looked forward to watching Bradley regret his actions.
Although I usually root for both leading characters, this time I hoped that the male protagonist got a taste of his own medicine after all he’s done to Esther. The good news is that she understood the assignment and got back at him properly.
