Part 1: Storyline of My Devil Husband
My Devil Husband is a novel about Grace, the eldest daughter of the Chi family. Grace has a beautiful, feminine body. Her body can attract men to hover and desire her. However, Grace loved one man, Carl. She had loved him for years and still counted.
Carl knew that Grace treasured him, but he didn’t care. His heart and eyes were targeted at her sister, Stella. He likes Grace’s body but not her.
Carl had an uncle, Caleb, who was the same age as he was. His uncle Caleb was more like a brother. Caleb was Carl’s most loved ever since he risked his life to save Carl from an awful accident. Due to the accident, Caleb’s brain got damaged.
To repay his uncle’s kindness, Carl gave his all to Caleb. He protected him, loved him, and gave Grace to Caleb. Giving Grace to Caleb was Carl’s biggest mistake.
Grace was forced and blackmailed to be with Caleb. In order to escape from the little cage Carl had placed her in, she murdered Caleb in the bathtub with his blood painting the tub red.
Carl was furious. He wasn’t sure Grace murdered his uncle. There was no proof. He knew he had made her suffer, but he didn’t care if that was what led to her devilish actions. He beat and tortured her.
She would have killed herself, but Carl denied her that pleasure. He made her admit to killing his uncle. He broadcasted her confession, held her dying mom hostage, tortured her and finally locked her up in a mental hospital.
The only way out for Grace was an escape from the hospital. She couldn’t attempt the escape yet because her mom was still in Carl’s possession.
Nevertheless, when she heard of her mom’s death, she decided it was time she went against herself and all those who had destroyed her.
Grace fled the mental hospital with a plan to destroy Carl in My Devil Husband.
Part 2: My Devil Husband’s Story Theme
My Devil Husband novel has themes of:
Abuse of Power
Carl was clearly more powerful and wealthier than Grace. Due to this, he took her love for granted and used his influence to step on her neck. He uses her dying mother to threaten her regularly.
At some point in the novel, you’ll find Carl hitting Grace to the point of her almost dying. If only Grace had an equal level of power and influence like him, she would have defended and fought for herself.
Revenge and Retribution
Grace had passed through a lot in the hands of her family, stepsister, and the man she loved. All the while, she allowed them to win and get to her. Most times, she did it to protect her mom.
When Grace’s mom, Lily, died, she saw no reason to let anyone hurt her and get away with it. This was when her revenge plan began. She promised to bring her family and Carl, the man that tore her to pieces, to their downfall.
She would get the justice she deserved in My Devil Husband!
Trauma, Resilience, and Survival
Grace went through what was equivalent to going through hell. In the end, she was alone. Her mom, whom she had sacrificed everything for, died. Also, her face got destroyed beyond recovery.
Grace became the lady in the mask who had to work in a bar to survive. Most people would have gone mad, but she stood strong.

My Devil Husband Chapter 1
In My Devil Husband chapter 1, Carl’s uncle, Caleb, was found dead in his house. He died holding Grace’s picture. Caleb cared for, spoiled, and loved Grace. As for Grace, she was forced to be with him by Carl.
When Carl saw his uncle in a pool of his blood, he detested Grace. He accused her of murder. He pulled her into his basement, where he hit and whipped her badly.
Grace was dirty and covered with wounds all over her body. Carl didn’t want to kill her, at least, not yet. He dragged her back to the bathroom and freshened her up. He planned on making her marry his dead uncle.
Grace couldn’t believe that. She decided to take her life. She grabbed a razor on the bath table and cut her wrist. Her blood was dripping on the floor, but Carl wouldn’t let her just die that way. He has vile plans for her.
My Devil Husband Chapter 2
Black Wedding was the name tagged to My Devil Husband chapter 2.
As Grace arrived at Caleb’s mourning hall, she wore a black wedding dress. She stood staring at Caleb’s photo in the hall. She could understand why Carl despised her. He thought of her as Caleb’s murderer.
Carl and Caleb were literally brothers. A long time ago, Caleb had saved Carl from a fatal accident. In the process, Caleb’s brain got damaged; hence, he began to act as a fool. Since then, Carl has been indebted to him.
Just as Grace stood reminiscing, Carl appeared before her with a large group of reporters. He accused her of killing Caleb. When she tried to deny it, he waved a photo of her mom being held hostage.
My Devil Husband Chapter 4
Grace bumped into Carl at a bar where she was working. She had escaped from the mental hospital he trapped her in.
Carl offered to give Grace some money if she could crawl on broken bottles. Her state of life now was poor, and she was in dire need of money. Her mom was dead, and she had been going through a lot.
One look at her face, and you would see her pains. A part of Grace’s face was rotten in the My Devil Husband novel. Also, there was a cut mark on her face. She had to hide her now ugly face using a mask as she worked in the bar.
Part 4: Final Thoughts and Recommendation
Most women let men treat them wrong because of love. At some point, if a man isn’t reciprocating your love, draw back and reevaluate the situation. Don’t let yourself die in a loveless relationship.
When you find yourself in a bad state because of your love, it’s okay to fall back. Love and pay attention to yourself before you end up in a situation worse than what Grace faced in My Devil Husband. Just because you’ve been hurt doesn’t mean you should stay hurt. It’s time you make a strong comeback.
A novel that I’d like to recommend, which talks about a strong comeback after a betrayed love, is ‘The Defiant Mate.’.
It’s interesting, intriguing, and soul-gripping. The plot is top-notch, and you will fall in love with the characters.
