Part 1: Plot Summary of Mates with Alpha Maddox
The story follows Maddox, a man who has been let down by the hands of love and destiny. He is twenty-two years old, yet he has been unable to find his mate anywhere. At such an age is way past eighteen, it was hard for wolves to find their mate, therefore Maddox could only entertain one other possibility, death. He doesn’t want to but, can’t help believing that the reason he had not met his mate was that she died already.
Werewolves do have it hard though. I know you will agree that a man who yearns for love and is unable to find it, will be shattered. Maddox was only looking for the person that belonged to him according to the blessings of the moon goddess, yet she was practically not on the surface of this earth. Maddox, unable to find this woman, just turns ferocious and difficult to get along with. Well, it is its own defense mechanism. Basically, when you can’t find love, you fall into a category of your own choice. You can choose, sadness, or you can choose anger and the hammer.
Maddox hears from his Beta that he has a daughter whom he would like to join the pack. Maddox is reluctant to the idea but finally agrees even though his Beta’s sentimentality irritated him. The day the girl arrives, Maddox does not bother looking up when he tells the girl to stay away from his general direction. However, he comes to regret it when he looks up.
Jayda lost her mother and needed to cope on her own. However, her father suddenly shows up and he wishes to take her to the pack. Jayda refused, she resented this father of hers for leaving herself and her mother so many years prior and going off to marry another woman. However, when she gets the gist about rogues, she agrees to go with him to see the Alpha.
That was when she met her mate, but he warned her off. Did she just get rejected?

Maddox Franco
He is a young man with a fierce temper and a desire to torture rogues. Maddox grew up with a bunch of anger and resentment towards the part of his species that led to the death of his parents. It is something very unavoidable really. We cannot expect a child to ignore such a crucial detail. However, this resentment ultimately gives him an aggressive nature that I honestly find uncultured and unnecessary.
Violent Alpha
Wolves are aggressive by nature, but Maddox takes it a step farther than the others. Admittedly, forgiveness is hard but, torturing another living thing does not make you better than them. I would not be surprised if his inability to find his mate, was the result of karma seeking retribution, and making him bitter and lonely was just the best way.
However, everyone deserves love, and Maddox, though a total sociopath, is not exempt from this fact. Therefore, it is only beautiful that he was able to find the one he had been looking for forever.
His relationship with Jayda almost seems to develop too quickly, but they are both so caught up in each other that the whole thing is drama free.
Maddox is a nice man with a rough exterior that could prick you if you get too close. His soft spot remains for his sister and his mate who he regards as his own. Maddox takes his loved ones very seriously and this makes him a great protagonist. In the chaotic world of werewolves, someone as strong and dependable as Alpha Maddox is who a true pack leader should be.
Part 3: Thrilling Chapter from Mates with Alpha Maddox
Chapter Two
Jayda’s dad walks her to the door and lets her go in to meet the alpha. She sees a breathtaking man sitting behind a big Mahogany desk. The man looks up at her for only a second before going back to his work. At that moment, Jayda’s wolf informs her that they have found their mate. She smiled in happiness and excitement however, the man’s next words make that smile fall. He tells her to stay out of his way and dismisses her. Jayda was hurt. She thought she was not good enough and that was why he didn’t want her. She whimpered and it made the man look at her. He stares and his mouth was slightly open.
Jayda ran away, shifting into her wolf, uncaring that her clothes shredded in the process.
She sprinted through the woods, farther and farther, then soon heard a twig snap behind. She hoped it was her mate, but this wolf was feral and deadly. Jayda remembered her friend’s words which emphasized how a mate was the most important thing for a wolf. Jayda was not wanted by hers, so she did not care if she died at this moment. In her wolf form, the brown wolf attacked and when the pain was too much, Jayda shifted back to her human form. Then, the brown wolf stopped attacking. He shifted into human form and approached Jayda with lust evident in his eyes.
He hindered her from leaving and was about to forcefully mark her. Then, a black wolf showed up and ripped into the pervert. When the black wolf finished, he came back to Jayda and shifted into her mate’s form. Maddox apologized and pleaded with Jayda to accept him.
The characters are lively and support intriguing backstories. Yes, I know you like this type of novel, that is why you should see another that is just like it.
