We see two young women who are despised by their kind and are predetermined to die immediately after the order was final from the king. The two females are merely innocent people caught up in an unfair society of wolves, ostracized, and completely abandoned. The werewolf society is a complex entity that does not allow rogues to survive any matter the circumstance. However, just in time for their execution, the king makes an entrance, and everything is quashed.

The story gives you a Cinderella nostalgic vibe, but this is the fantastical world of werewolves. The merge of these two elements doesn’t have as much of a disparaging effect as one would expect. You’re looking for something more intense? Then check out a nice title.

Part 1: Plot Summary of Mated to the King’s Gamma

Mated to the King's Gamma: Abbie and Ivy

The story follows Abbie and Ivy, both orphans who find themselves in an orphanage. Their situation is so peculiar that it’s almost too worrisome. These two orphans are basically convicts awaiting their execution. But how come these young girls are only barely adults and yet they’re going to die?

It’s pretty simple, they would pay for the fact that they had no pack of their own. We all know how werewolves are about rogues right? Well, in this case, they also don’t give a shit whether the rogue is a child or not. These monsters did not mind killing these two young girls in order to satisfy their hatred for the crimes that they didn’t commit. This is always a difficult subject for me because of the complete injustice that is served to people who don’t deserve it. At least have a conscience for a child.

Judgment

Abbie and Ivy prepare themselves for the judgment that was about to come. Abbie was of the age to accept her fate, but Ivy was not. However, Ivy made up her mind to finish it all with her friend. In order to do this, she had to do some begging. Yes, it’s weird to find such a situation where a girl with her whole life ahead of her would be adamant and willing to die earlier just so she could accompany her friend.

The two people were leaving behind a world of hurt and abuse. They were walking away from a place of torture, and though they were scared, they felt unburdened and free.

Abbie and Ivy were taken to the venue of their deaths and as they were paraded, rogues about to be killed, the public hurled abuse at the children, ready to see them die. It was at the moment when everything was decided and the axe was about to grace their necks, the king arrived. He halted everything and took them away.

Unknown to the girls, their lives were about to change completely because the one that almost everyone yearned for in their lifetime had shown up just in the nick of time to take them off to a life of love and happiness. However, happiness always comes with its own challenges. They may have found their predestined other halves, but there was a long road and a tough battle to fight in order to fully grasp their happiness. This war is one of identity and one of fate.

Part 2: Main Character of Mated to the King’s Gamma

Abbie

Mated to the King's Gamma: Abbie

She is a young woman with a determined mind and a willful heart. She is smart enough to know when she must act and when she must submit. Her life has been a constant deluge of fear and suffering. However, she pulls it all together and makes a steel resolve that is unbending and cautious. Her life is in constant danger from the man that caused her home to be ruined. He wishes to take her, but Abbie has no intention of letting such a wretched person get too close to her.

With the sudden change in the life that she had grown accustomed to, Abbie doesn’t have a problem adapting, however, there is a surge of new emotions that comes with the appearance of the one person who was fated for her. Abbie lets herself fall into the warmth of these emotions and the possibility of a future she never thought was possible.

Abbie is a strong female protagonist forged from a shaky and troublesome childhood, however, cloaked in the familiar love of the best friend she grew up with. Both of them were each other’s support in that hellhole. This did not change even after they left and entered a new life. However, they each now had someone who saw them as more than rogues destined to die. Honestly, it’s a level-up.

Part 3: Amazing Chapter from Mated to the King’s Gamma

Chapter Twenty-two

Mated to the King's Gamma: Abbie and Gannon

Gannon counted every strike against the wicked Mrs. Daley’s back. It was at that moment he realized that the king was still inside the packhouse. Gannon wiped his hands of the blood that came from the back spray from off the whip. Then, he inquired. It was confirmed that the king was still present, and apparently, he did not want to be disturbed.

Climbing the steps, he reached the old door and shoved it open. He met Alpha Dean and Alpha Brock. Gannon inquired once more and noticed Alpha Dean’s weariness and pale face as he described the location of the king.

Gannon entered the place and knew something wasn’t right when he was hit with the king’s powerful aura that left his legs shaking. Gannon saw the king in his most terrifying form. The king looked like a lethal beast; at that moment he was a complete predator. Therefore, it was inevitable that Gannon would be attacked. Gannon got tossed like a rag doll. He got thrown every which way and then choked by Kyson. He was able to deal with a few blows that got him some breathing space and a while later, they both sported major injuries by the time Kyson’s anger diminished.

Gannon inquired about the reason for the outburst, and Kyson told him. It had to do with Ivy belonging to the monster. Gannon only had to see the paperwork on the table before understanding; Marissa was Ivy’s mother. Kyson thinks he can’t be with her, not after knowing that her mother was a criminal. Gannon refuted this, stating that Ivy wasn’t her mother. Kyson doesn’t accept his defense. He couldn’t punish Marissa for her crimes, but he can punish her daughter, mate or not.

The life of the common person is shared in such vivid detail that it’s hard not to enjoy this piece. The flavor of this piece is similar to My Legendary Alpha Mate.
