To please Mason, Zoe has to keep his house tidy at all times and hand wash his clothes, as he doesn’t like the laundry smell that comes with clothes washed by a laundry. All his meals are cooked fresh daily by her; otherwise, Mason would make the house hot for her.
At the end of the day, when he feels satisfied and tired, he would share his bed with her as his wife. That was the only moment in which he acknowledged her presence. She was never his wife but a tool he used. His treasured possessions were locked away from her.
Mason had some other woman, Lilith, whom he found interest in. He tends to please Lilith while Zoe was left in pain and unattended to. With time, Zoe could no longer bear the pain her loveless marriage inflicts on her.

Zoe Sanders
Zoe Sanders is a beautiful woman. She has lovely dark hair and soft skin that are way too smooth and beautiful. Her curves are perfect for her body. That’s one of the attractions that got Mason pinned to her.
She has a scattered background, though, in the novel ‘I Refuse to Divorce!’. Her father was in the hospital. It seems as if his life was short. Her brother was locked up after being accused of a crime. And her stepmom, Mia, was in just for the money Zoe got from Mason.
Zoe divorced Mason when she lost her pregnancy. She wanted to be a mother and love her child, but Mason failed her.
Mason
Mason is that hot man most girls would faint over. He has defined muscles and a sturdy chest. He’s tall and sensual. His features are part of what made Zoe so attracted to him.
In this novel, he doesn’t know what he wants. He’s confused about whom he likes between Lilith and Zoe.
However, when Zoe divorced and left him, he realized she left with his heart.
Lilith
Lilith is a young and attractive woman. She enjoyed her moments with Mason. She knew he was married, but she didn’t care about snatching him away.
When Zoe left Mason, Lilith saw a chance to claim him, but he ignored her feelings.
Cecil
Cecil was Zoe’s doctor and friend. He knew of her ill relationship with Mason. He couldn’t help her, nor could he confess his love for her.
He had known Zoe longer than she thought and had loved her way before she met Mason. The one thing he wished to get from Zoe was a space in her life and heart.

So, I think Zoe might flaunt her wealth a bit on the faces of those that thought she would remain a housewife forever. She would solidify her divorce with Mason after much resistance from him.
With her divorce finalized, Zoe would welcome Cecil into her heart. He might be the better man for her. With this, Cecil would reveal to Zoe their childhood she had forgotten.
‘I Refuse to Divorce!’ would turn out to be a great read with Zoe getting the love, peace, and money she deserves.
