She was meant to die from the accident that Lena had set up for her, but Melanie survived, so instead of Lena’s so-called hard work to go to waste, she made sure to plant the wrong medication into Melanie’s prescription, so that her leg injury would not heal, and so, Melanie became crippled.
When he was asked about what he thought about Melanie finding out about them, Bryan replied by saying that he was sure Melanie was not in the country and that he could not wait to be out of her embrace as he thought of her as a disgusting cripple that he should have absolutely nothing to do with. Melanie could not just understand how she got there. So, that was what had been happening behind her all the time she thought that she had something genuine going on with Bryan. Interesting. Melanie suddenly figured out the man that she had slept with that night. Stephen Morgan was the second young master of the Morgan family who were among the top families in the city, and at that point in time, Bryan, Melanie’s fiancé, needed a desperate favor from Stephen, and it had to do with Lena. Stephen Morgan could not, and he was not lying about it even though Melanie thought differently. How could he say that he could not remember her when they had been together just last night. That was not a problem anyway, as Melanie took out the pictures, she had taken the previous night and showed them to Stephen. It was at that point that Stephen understood what was happening. The man in the picture was not Stephen, but his uncle, yet Stephen did not reveal that detail to Melanie according to I Became His Sweetheart Novel, instead he asked what Melanie wanted, and she told him to cancel the meeting he was going to attend with Lena, to which Stephen did at once.

Reading deeper into the novel will let readers know that the man whom Melanie thought was Stephen Morgan, was in fact, his uncle, and a bigger wolf to deal with than Stephen, but for now, Melanie was fine with the pictures she had, with that, she would be able to coin the Morgan family around her fingers whichever way possible, just to get back at her fiancé who dared to cheat on her with her cousin, and plot against her to even lose her life making her lose her ability to walk in the process.
“Thank you so much for the little surprise that you had ready for me yesterday! There were so many ballons flying out from my trunk when I opened it. It’s so romantic. I like it very much.”
“Oh, yeah. Melanie, did you ask for help to get the ballons in my trunk?”
“Who did you bribe?”
Melanie’s fiancé, Bryan, was the person who said all the statements above after he called Melanie. Of course, he had seen the surprise that Melanie had for him, and the first thing that entered his mind was if Melanie had been the person who had personally delivered the ballons to his car because if she were the person, then she would have seen him cheating on her with Lena, and he did not want that to happen.
Chapter 8
A lot was going on in this chapter of the novel, I Became His Sweetheart. First of all, Melanie was meeting the actual man that she had slept with on that fateful night for the first time, and she found it very difficult to imagine that he was the one because she was thoroughly confused between the man who was known as Jeffery Morgan, and his nephew, Stephen.
This man who was referred to as President Morgan, had found his way int Melanie’s room in a hotel, waiting to give her some information that he deemed fit for her.
“I’ll agree to the request that you mentioned to Stephen, however, I have one for you too.”
“You’ll marry into the Morgans… Secretly.”
President Morgan, AKA, Jeffery Morgan had made his intention for Melanie known, and he was direct about it. Yes, Melanie had some information about the Morgan family that could cost them a lot, but it would not be easy for her to get up and just use it against them whenever she liked, as Jeffery Morgan was advanced enough to play his own game on Melanie while she played hers on him and his family.
Also, in this chapter of I Became His Sweetheart Novel, there appeared to have been another ploy by Lena to upset and put Melanie in a bad situation that would see her as shameful and undeserving.
“If President Morgan doesn’t want to be under the influence of this, I suppose it’s best to dispose of it soon.”

A fragrance in the room had been swapped to a poisonous one that could alter the mood and behavior of anyone that inhaled it enough, and Melanie was quick to spot it. From a personal point of view, one might reason that there was so much information in the novel, and it tended to overlap each other, causing the plot of I Became His Sweetheart Novel to become cumbersome and somewhat tiresome to read. Nevertheless, the author of the novel generates the details and filters out the unnecessary points after a while, causing the novel to take a definite stand in the plot, and become more understandable and acceptable for readers.
