The King’s Avatar is a PC game novel, interesting and especially fun. For those readers who avoid videogame novels because they believe that they will not understand the game reference, I must tell them that this particular story is very easy to follow.
The author, Butterfly Blue, created a simple book with not-so-complicated characters that all fantasy readers can enjoy. The novel has become so popular all over the internet that it has been adapted into a television series. It’s already gotten to The King’s Avatar 2 and it has been renewed for season 3.
But, before you watch the series, read the narrative. You know that the majority of bibliophiles say that words don’t compare to pictures. Sometimes words can be more expressive than images.
Once you skim through the first chapters, you won’t have the urge to let go of the book. It’s really catchy, it will trap you inside the game and you will find yourself playing alongside Ye Xiu!
Part 1: The Main Story of The King’s Avatar
Ye Xiu is a top player in the online game Glory. He has been playing with the character Battle Mage One Autumn Leaf, one of the best characters in Glory, for the past ten years. He won championship after championship for many years, but this year, his team, Excellent Era, is only ranked 19, second to last place.
Su Mucheng comes and gets Ye Xiu, who was just winning a battle with Autumn Leaf, and go to club Excellent Era, where his team was waiting. It was no surprise to him that his fellows asked him to hand over the character’s card account, because they had chosen a new captain for their team, the young Sun Xiang, a promising gamer.
Sun Xiang was a rookie in the game, winner of Best Newcomer and, until now, he was captain of team Conquering Clouds. He managed to bring a mediocre team on the eighth place in the championship. Since it was midseason transfer window, Xiu’s team had reached out to him and offered him the Autumn Leaf character and position as captain.
Xiu felt betrayed, but he handed over the card and, instead of remaining a training partner for the team, he chooses to terminate his contract, even if it meant that he would have to retire from the game he loved so much.
Upon leaving the club, Ye Xiu enters an Internet Cafe and is surprised to see that the cafe’s boss is playing Glory. After failing to win a battle fifty two times in a row, Xiu takes over and wins the fight in less than a minute, gaining the admiration of Chen Guo, the cafe’s owner. She also offers him a job there.
When Xiu finds out that Glory will release a new game platform the following day, he decides he wants back in the game, anonymously. He will win battle after battle, ascending in the new game rapidly. Will his former team reach out to him again? Will Xiu stay devoted to his newfound friends and game colleagues? You can only read the book to find out.
Part 2: Hot Chapters from The King’s Avatar
The king of Avatar will go through numerous game adventures. The chapters are so well written that there are high chances for you to feel as if you are right in front of a computer, playing Glory yourself.
The King’s Avatar Chapter 3
Special Duty: Night Shift
After being kicked out of team Excellent Era, Ye Xiu uses Chen Guo’s character to battle in Glory. Within one minute, he wins through knock-out, surprising Chen Guo. She suspected he must be the player behind Autum Leaf.
Since Ye Xiu always kept a low profile, Chen couldn’t be sure of her guess. Xiu asks for a job at the cafe and his wish is granted. Soon after, he learns that Glory will release a new game platform the following day, for its tenth year anniversary and only new level one accounts can enter the game.
This was perfect for Xiu, as his original account was in Sun Xiang’s hands now and no way to get it back. He will have to start from scratch, but he knew he would be successful.
His first job at Happy Internet Club required him to tidy up a pile of keyboards and take them to the storage room, where it will also be his shelter from now on. Xiu and Chen enjoy a midnight snack together, while befriending one another.
The King’s Avatar Chapter 10
Novice
Chen Guo was envious and wanted to know what the Midnight Phantom Cat had dropped. Among unimportant things, there was also Midnight Cat Claw and Midnight Opal. Chen got impressed. Those things could be used to complete the Myriad Manifestation Umbrella.
Ye Xiu felt he needed to change computers. He was ready to leave the game. His novice Lord Grim hadn’t healed the party members on purpose. He had a hidden agenda leading to a greater purpose.
Chen is amazed by how fast Xiu is evolving in the game. He had already met a hidden boss, had a skill book drop and also formed a bunch of enemies. After a small break, Ye Xiu decided to put Lord Grim back in the game. He wanted to know whether the players were still talking about him.
Not long after entering the game again, Lord Grim finds the Sleeping Moon, who hadn’t come to be polite.
The King’s Avatar Chapter 11
Missing a Person? Add Me!
Ye Xiu laughed at the Sleeping Moon asking her what’s up. His casual tone leaves him speechless. H was stunned that the Lord wasn’t saying anything about the messages he had been sending everyone, where he accused Lord Grim of not healing his party members and leaving them to die only to steal the hidden boss for himself.
Ye Xiu knows that the Sleeping Moon was one person short, so he offered to be part of his team. After receiving the request, he had no idea whether to accept it or not, but, after watching him in action, he decides to take Ye Xiu in his team. Lord Grim will be used to level up and afterwards killed.
There are more interesting chapters ahead, all of them filled with interesting details about Ye Xiu’s game character, Lord Grim. It would be really interesting to see if Lord Grim will eventually battle or team up with Autumn Leaf.
