Who said that blood relatives are supposed to love you? Sometimes not even blood can hold a family together, nor can it make someone cherish you just because you share the same DNA.
The Heiress Return And Revenge brings forward a painful story of a girl whose family chose their adopted daughter over her, leaving her at the mercy of her kidnappers. It seems that the Gray family love was never meant for Simone, as everyone was fond of her replacement, the adopted Gray daughter.

Part 1: Major Themes In The Heiress Return And Revenge
Although it’s mainly a romance novel, The Heiress Return And Revenge encompasses more than one theme.
First off, there is the rebirth theme. Simone gets her do over chance, waking up a year prior to being kidnapped and killed. Rebirth in novels is one of the things I enjoy because I like the idea of having the main character aware of her future and playing mind games with her rivals.
Simone doesn’t foresee the future, she literally knows what’s going to happen, as she had already experienced it in her previous life.
Another major theme here is revenge and Simone has a long list of people who deserve to experience her anger. Her mother, her father, her brothers, her family substitute and even her former boyfriend are eligible for being punished for betraying her.
Simone doesn’t use brute force for her vengeance. In fact, she uses an excellent mind game, making her opponents slip and make mistakes, gaining the hatred of the fans watching the reality show.
The love theme in this book is not as accentuated as the other two themes, yet it is still very much present. Simone and Zac are discovering each other throughout the show. Zac visibly protects the girl, taking her side whenever Aaron would pick on her or Jodie would try to play the victim while trying to make Simone seem like a predator.
Part 2: The Relationships Between Major Characters From The Heiress Return and Revenge
As Simone is the main character from The Heiress Return And Revenge, it’s only obvious that she is the core to every relationship established within the novel.
Simone and the Gray family
Although we’re talking about her parents and her brothers, we can’t really talk about a healthy, loving family relationship. Yes, they were estranged for so many years, yet it should have come natural for them to reconnect and behave like a family.
Instead of loving Simone, the Grays merely tolerated her presence. It’s like they felt obligated to give her the Gray family asset rights and a spot among them, yet their affection remained for Jodie solely.
Simone and Leon
As her childhood friend, Leon must have known exactly what Simone had been through and just how much she wanted to be part of the Gray family, yet he chose to betray her and put Jodie’s life over hers.
Yes, he had his reasons, as his mother never approved of his relationship with Simone, but he could have been man enough to stand up and protect the woman he claimed he loved.
Leon and Simone’s relationship is rocky, but she never considered the idea of going back and forgive him for betraying her. And the truth is, he never really explained to her his reasons for his actions, so Simone never truly got to know how much he truly loved her.
Simone and Zac
Now, this is a relationship worth mentioning. Although Jodie seemed to be visibly interested in Zac, he never gave her a chance. On the contrary, Zac didn’t waste any opportunity to protect Simone and praise her, stirring Jo’s jealousy.
When Simone and Zac finally decided to become an item, I enjoyed their carelessness towards what other may believe or say about them as a couple. They are genuinely happy and, for once, Simone knows that the person staying by her side has no secrets and no hidden agenda.
Simone and Jodie
Jodie is the main antagonist of the novel. Her jealousy and hatred towards Simone know no boundaries. She’s never content with the love she receives from the Grays, she also wants Simone’s assets and contracts.
Simone sees Jo as the manipulative being she truly is but unfortunately her family is always ready to wipe away Jo’s fake tears and scold Simone. Fortunately, she manages to show an entire world the girl’s true colors.
Not only she wasn’t behaving like a sister to Aaron, Titus and Reuben, she was also using the boys to make their girlfriends jealous. She liked showing all women just how much power she held over her supposed brothers.
