At five years old, Shin Yu-Sung was abandoned by his family because the traits that would enable him to train in the biggest and most prestigious academy in Korea were of the lowest rank. As far as his family was concerned, there was no way that Shin Yu-Sung would get accepted at Gaon Academy.
Gaon Academy was where every young person went to train to become a hunter so as to graduate later and face the evils that had suddenly taken over the era. A young person with an F-grade trait had no hope, and so Shin Yu-Sung ended up in an orphanage. Ridiculous, right?
I wonder how desperate Shin Yu-Sung’s parents would have been for him to have ended up a hunter, that they abandoned their own child with their own hands just because his trait didn’t meet up to the expectations. It must have been such a time. It must have been such an era.

Part 1: Story Line of Hunter Academy’s Battle God
In Hunter Academy’s Battle God, Shin Yu-Sung was adopted by a legendary hunter called, Yu WonHak. He was the Fist King, and among the top three hunters in the city. Yu WonHak believed that judging anyone based on their traits was far-fetched. He believed in strength in place of the traits and ranks of a person.
Building physical strength and gaining skill and momentum mentally and otherwise was the best way to become the most valued hunter. He must have had good traits, but Yu WonHak didn’t become the Fist King via the traits that were already embedded in him from birth. No. He trained and built himself and acquired skill and mastery separately from what everyone else believed was the norm.
A damn trait. Yu WonHak heard about Shin Yu-Sung and adopted him as a boy five years old. Then he started to train Shin Yu-Sung. The legendary Fist King was aware of Shin Yu-Sung’s low-ranking trait, but it did not stop him from instilling into Shin the fact that he could still make it to the academy and graduate as a hunter if he worked hard enough.
For twelve straight years, Shin Yu-Sung was in the manor, training hard enough to enroll in the academy. When he was seventeen years, it was time for him to leave. ‘You are still not strong enough to fight against this person, and that person who has this skill and that skill” Yu WonHak continued to threaten Shin.
Eventually, future Hunter Academy’s Battle God, Shin Yu-Sung left for the academy. When he got there, he was welcomed by the academy’s headmaster.
Before Shin Yu-Sung actually left the manor where he had been in training with the Fist King, Yu WonHak had already sent word out that he had a disciple, and that every hunter out there should be aware of the fact that a disciple of his called Shin Yu-Sung was joining the academy.
As a result of this, the headmaster of the academy, as well as other hunters were expecting to see Shin Yu-Sung. However, it was a slap in the face when Shin Yu-Sung arrived at the academy and revealed that he was an F-ranking trait. That was equal to zero. The headmaster of the academy was discouraged and claimed that Yu WonHak was playing tricks on him again.
He confirmed Shin Yu-Sung s trait rank and asked that the only way he could allow Shin to enroll in the academy was if he fought and won against a D-ranking student. Read the book to find out how thing’s panned out for Shin Yu-Sung, and how he became the Hunter Academy’s Battle God.
Part 2: Hot Chapters of Hunter Academy’s Battle God
Chapter 1
The first chapter of The Hunter Academy’s Battle God shows the progress that went on while Yu WonHak trained Shin Yu-Sung from age five until he turned seventeen years and was old enough to attend the hunter’s academy. It is safe to say that, Yu WonHak created The Hunter Academy’s Battle God who was Shin Yu-Sung. It is evident in the first chapter that Yu WonHak trained Shin Yu-Sung to be the very best.
He never commended Shin Yu-Sung to make him feel good about himself, at all. What Yu WonHak did was to continue to make his student feel as if they had not done enough, thereby increasing the chances of Shin Yu-Sung becoming the most seasoned hunter out there.
Judging by Yu WonHak’s status, he was definitely not going to announce a disciple of his that would not become the best hunter in the academy, so he made sure that he stretched Shin Yu-Sung to the limit so that he would be confident when sending him to the academy and announcing him as his disciple.
Chapter 2
The second chapter of Hunter Academy’s Battle God Book narrates how upset the headmaster of the academy was when he found out that the so-called disciple of the Fist King had an F-rank trait.
This was the same reason Shin Yu-Sung’s family abandoned him in the first place because of this supposed deficit that he had. He was considered useless, but Yu WonHak saw the best in him using this deficiency of his and trained him to be tough physically without depending on traits, but the headmaster of the academy didn’t know this for a fact.
He insisted that Shin Yu-Sung sparred against an already existing academy student to earn a spot in the academy, if not he would not accept Shin Yu-Sung into the academy with his F-rank trait.
Part 3: Evaluate The Hunter Academy’s Battle God
Fantasy books can nearly do no wrong. The writer’s imagination is vivid enough to take readers on a fantasy ride, as expected. The book, Hunter Academy’s Battle God only gets more intense as the chapters go by. The lead male, Shin Yu-Sung had to prove himself at the academy on countless occasions, against countless oppositions, and for countless reasons until he was able to confirm his status as the Hunter Academy’s Battle God, indeed.
The fact that he operated on a different level and knowledge from the rest of the hunters in the academy set him apart and made him unique, thus giving the book the feel of a hero amongst other heroes. The book is a decent read, and I will give it a ninety percent score cared for it.
