By the time this young man who could not even remember his name started to come back to his senses, it was nearly impossible for him to completely wake up.
According to Highschool DXD: A New Opportunity Book, what he experienced was akin to sleep paralysis, where your mind is awake, but you can hardly move other parts of your body for very detailed reasons that cannot be explained broadly in this review.
The young man in question could hear a voice however, faintly at first, trying to communicate with him, but he could not make out the voice until the person, whoever it was, was close enough to him. It was at this point that this nameless young man in question became determined to pull himself out of his “paralyzed state and so he moved his body gradually until he fully woke up.
However, what he saw struck him completely. First of all, he was in a vast place with pure unending whiteness. No walls, no edges, no cliffs, just a vast space, and everything was white with no single object in it apart from the thing? Or man? That was trying to communicate with him.

Part 1: Main Story of Highschool DXD: A New Opportunity
The question I had in mind while reading this part of High School DXD: A New Opportunity book was always, how did the nameless guy get to this place that looked like heaven, but was not heaven? The story behind it was that the nameless guy was a regular guy who had lost all his emotions and feelings because of the tragedies of life that had happened to him.
One day, he was traveling by train and then the train he was on had an accident. A pretty ghastly one to be honest. Then, when the nameless guy saw that he was injured, but strong enough to save himself, he started to escape, and instead of him to save himself and get help for his wounds, he found himself helping others.
This was something that had never happened before in a very long time as he had faced too much trauma and as a result, lost his sense of self and feelings. He saved as many people as he could from the accident and scene, and later on, he fainted or died. Then he found himself in this void.
In Highschool DXD: A New Opportunity Book, the interrogation between the “thing he saw in the void was a long one, and this “thing tried as much as it could to help the nameless guy regain his memory, but he couldn’t achieve it completely, and only fragments remained in the nameless guys mind.
Asking for a way out to continue living regularly since he still had consciousness, the “thing helped the nameless guy out to a place that he considered new and worth a try. The nameless guy was afraid of change, everyone is usually afraid of change and so it was in the case of the nameless guy but in the end, he had to accept the offer that the “thing was suggesting because.
Read the book to find out where the “thing transported the nameless guy too, and if the nameless guy ever remembered his name. Also, information of interest is that, by the time the “thing was sending the boy to his new place of dwelling, he had grown a mouth.
The nameless guy could swear that there was no mouth on the thing as at when he was discussing it, but when he was leaving, a mouth and grown. I considered that detail of the book creepy, to be honest.
I think that many people that had entered that void and met the thing had different encounters with it, and the “thing grew bodily features that had to do with each person that he communicated with. It was weird. No, it is weird to think of. Don’t worry, read the book and imagine what I am trying to say.
Part 2: Hot Chapters of Highschool DXD: A New Opportunity
Prologue/Chapter 1
In this chapter of High School DXD: A New Opportunity Book, the nameless young man found himself in the void. That is how the book starts. He is in the void struggling to wake up and back to reality when he starts to hear a voice, faint at first until the person comes close to him.
Then he is face to face with the “thing and they have a lengthy conversation concerning how the nameless man is hot there. The point of this chapter is the meeting. In fact, the point of the entire book is the meeting between the nameless young man and the thing.
Another factor worthy of note in this chapter is when the “thing was sending the nameless young man to a supposedly new place that would enable his supernatural powers, the nameless guy suddenly saw that the “thing had grown a mouth which he could swear was not there when they met. Read the book to know what that action symbolized.
Part 3: Main Characters of Highschool DXD: A New Opportunity
Nameless
Nameless is the lead character of High School DXD: A New Opportunity. I address him as “Nameless because he couldn’t remember his name when he woke up in the void. After facing some travails in life, Nameless lost touch with his sense of self, emotions, and feelings.
On the fateful day that caused the story to start, he was on a trip when he had an accident that ended up claiming his life after he had dared to save others because he found himself alive. He fainted as a result of the stress and impact the accident had on him and woke up in a void with a formless man who sent him to another world, giving him a fresh start.
Part 4: Evaluate Highschool DXD: A New Opportunity
High school DXD: A New Opportunity, creeped me out when the lead male was being sent to another world and happened to spot the “thing and saw that “he had grown a mouth. From my own judgment, the “thing grew different body parts according to how he had communicated with people that found themselves in the void.
I remember him complaining that not a lot of people spoke to him while they were in the void, maybe that was why he had never grown a mouth yet. The book is fun enough to keep readers glued to it. A decent effort from the author leaves me with a well-deserved hundred percent.
