Part 1: Main Story of Dangerous Fiancée
The story begins with our beautiful, doll-like heroine Marianne having an epiphany. Her husband, the love of her existence is a murderer, and his next kill is none other than her, his own wife.
Silence is broken by the red wine glass smashing into million pieces as it crashes on the floor. Marianne is heartbroken and frightened altogether as she now knows that her life is in jeopardy. Not far away from where she is standing, her husband Ober and Giyom, his bodyguard knight, are planning her execution.
With poor judgment, Marianne confronts Ober, who denies wanting to harm her in any way, even accusing her of being drunk, but seeing that the woman won’t be fooled so easily, he shows his true colors. He admits having killed her father and slowly strangles her neck, more like a tease than aggression.
Ober tells Marianne that she was nothing to him but a pretty doll whose sole purpose has always been to help him become emperor, as love doesn’t exist in the world. Giyom comes to grab the woman and take her to the nearby lake, with the intention of drowning her.

Marianne is a wonderful kickass heroine. She may seem fragile in the beginning and weak, maybe even blinded by love, but as the story progresses, Marianne becomes a strong female character, who starts judging things with her mind instead of her heart.
Considering the recent events, even if Ober may seem to have fallen head over heels for her and is keen on marrying Marianne because he loves her, the girl knows better now than to trust him. She needs to protect herself and her father while playing along with Ober’s ruse. Keeping her enemy close to her is the only way to nullify his plan.

Ober is standing right behind her, waiting for her response. He is leaning against a pillar, looking as stunning as always and talking with a soft voice, even whispering sweet words to Marianne.
Ober senses the girl’s reluctance and slight tremble when he touches her, but Marianne denies feeling unwell or being angry with him. She decides to put on her nice, doll appearance and fool Ober. She couldn’t let him know she knew his real intentions, as he could do something rash.
Marianne asks Ober to put the necklace on her neck as she loved his gift for her. Giving an alluring smile, the man gently caresses her skin while putting on the fine piece of jewelry. It’s a pure green emerald that compliments the girl’s beauty. He promises he can get her any piece of jewelry in the world, she just has to ask.
Marianne may have seemed impressed with Ober’s words in the past but now, that she knows he is only trying to deceive her, she simply rolls her eyes. The man kisses her hand, as the girl tells him that she should go change her dress into something more appropriate for her necklace, and promises him to meet him later in the garden.
In less than half an hour, everyone at the party knew that Ober, the successor of Marquis Chester had gifted her the stupendous piece of jewelry.
