Vivian was one of the journalists tasked to interact with him. Which is why it came as a total shock when she realized the president everyone was talking about was the man she married last night.
Chapters 11 – 12
In A Touch of Sweetness novel Chapters 11 – 12, Vivian encounters her ex-boyfriend from college two years ago. Their reunion wasn’t nowhere civil and Fabian Norton seemed to have returned and bought the magazine company to remind her of the mistake she had committed back in the university. Flashes of that incident two years ago played in Vivian’s mind, causing her to lose track of time and awareness of her surrounding. Her misery under the pouring rain led her to Finnick, and because of the turn of events, Vivian passed out, falling directly onto his arms.

A Touch of Sweetness novel may not be the first book that depended on fake-marriage trope to introduce a story, it delivered a spot-on potrayal of what fake marriage stories should be. Main male character who carries a traumatizing dark past and is desperate to get a wife, either because it will boost his career or a wish from grandparents, yep, that’s in here! Main female character who’s bullied and hurt, has no stable family and is financially poor? It’s in here again!
The character dynamics of A Touch of Sweetness Vivian and Finnick looked real enough that it wouldn’t be difficult to relate to them.
However, beneath these positive sides of A Touch of Sweetness novel, it’s impossible not to bring out the negative aspects that I’ve found while reading it. Apart from the fact that it’s ridiculously long, the chapters contains more fillers than scenes important to the plot, making it boring and hard to get through.
