The conflict sustains the plot so well, and the characters were a perfect fit, it’s almost too shameful not to give it praise.
Kiss Goodnight Mr. Ji-does not only tackles the concept of betrayal and revenge. It also gives a glimpse of the reality inside the entertainment industry that we seldom see because all they feed to the mainstream media are the too-good-to-be true movies and the flawless life of the actors/actresses. That may never concern us as the general audience, but letting us witness the scenes behind closed doors can make us more appreciative and kind to the individuals who are doing everything they can to keep us entertained.
There are so many things to experience in this novel. If it would be dissected, there are tons of hidden messages other than the dreamy romance between the principal characters.
Lifelong lessons and accurate wisdom are only two of the things that you can exclusively gain if by chance you decided to give it a chance. It’s not just a story that can free you of boredom, but a masterpiece that you’d be able to remember for as long as time remains.

Part 1: Plot Overview Of Kiss Goodnight Mr. Ji
It’s quite easy to catch the overall plot of Kiss Goodnight Mr. Ji because right from the beginning, the story made it clear where we should look and what we should anticipate ’till it reached the ending.
It simply goes like this: Ye Shengge is a bullied woman that gets instantly prettier whenever she consummates with someone. It’s the only known way to make the birthmark on her face disappear and by achieving so, she can finally step up from being a talent manager to an uprising actress.
It’s been her dream since she was a child, and to discover it’s not unreachable anymore, she’d exhaust every possible avenue to make that happen.
In order to do so, she enclosed a risky deal with the most wealthy and sought a bachelor in the industry—Ji Shiting, the man that claimed her virginity, and the man who was having the same problem as her. They’re a perfect fit, a formidable pair that will surely wreak havoc in everywhere they go.
Their fake relationship soon began to be real. But pursuing their love won’t be easy as establishing it. There are obstacles in the way, and each tested their limits and capacity as to how far are they willing to go for their love, ambition, and dreams.

Chapter 3
‘Hell hath no fury as a woman scorned’. To say that she’s beyond resentful would be an insult to the exact intensity of rage she currently feels after discovering how her fiancee has been plotting her downfall from the start.
If only murder wasn’t against the nature of the man, it would certainly be the punishment she’d bestow on them. Even more. The betrayal and pain they caused were inconceivable. She’s so foolish to fall into the scheme.
And only in fictional books that an oppressed woman will do nothing. Ye Shengge is no princess. If execution is unavailable, then she’d tear their beloved reputation. Bit by bit. Thankfully, she managed to acquire the footage of the cameras in the room where her fiancee and his sister had sex.
On the day of the awards, she played it in front of the stage where hundreds of people are speculating, and millions are watching from home. The payback had been so satisfying, Ye Shengge could only laugh as the two fumbled to end the video.
Chapter 5
Though her revenge was heavenly, Ye Shengge was still unable to disconnect from the heartbreak that she could feel within her chest. Two years of giving her everything to a man she thought she could trust, believing she has found the fairytale everyone is seeking, and then knowing it’s all a fraud, is a direct punch in the gut.
Logic has escaped her mind. All she could think of was the betrayal and the foolish scheme they did.
She sought peace, and she found it when she entered the wrong room and saw Ji-Shiting, the mysterious man that every media wants to feature, and the executive boss of the biggest agency in the industry! Though their first meeting was an accident, Ji Shiting’s lust seemed to be cultivated from a long-time desire, and his presence is somewhat of a coincidence.
She discovered why when Ji Shiting reveals his grandfather forced a drug on him, a rare one that stimulates the sex drive of the consumer and won’t lessen until the pleasure is relieved. (Aren’t you a lucky girl, Ye Shengge?) That, and Ye Shengge’s determination to feel confident, reinforced them to commit a passionate one-night stand.
Chapter 20
In this chapter, Ye Shengge and Ji Shiting had another passionate lovemaking. Once is forgivable, but to do it twice is surely not a coincidence anymore! This time, though, it was Ye Shengge who’s been drugged, and Ji Shiting is the sane one.
Their interaction would never have resulted in this if her fiancee’s sister didn’t order her cousin to drug her. Thank God she did, because Ye Shengge caught another shot to be with Ji Shiting, one thing that no one could ever do. Not with someone as influential as him. Besides, no one can stop a woman who’s determined to change her life.
The intensity of their lust and desire was still powerful as ever, and Ye Shengge has no regrets because the size of her birthmark has decreased, and she became much prettier. Damn, if only she knew it was the only way to get rid of it, she would have slept with countless of men in the past!
The day following their lovemaking, Ye Shengge proposes a marriage of convenience. Unfortunately, Ji Shiting refused, saying the offer was one time and could never be brought up again. Way to go, Ji Shiting! Ye Shengge couldn’t accept the refusal, though.
Part 3: Evaluation And A-Similar Book On Dreame
Words aren’t enough to lay out the reasons why this book deserves so much love and recognition. Its central plot is everything a bookworm would ask for. The author was magnificent, using literature to remind and teach us about the core values that we often forget as we grow older.
Not to mention the interaction between the characters is entertaining, too. The writing technique that was used was amazing, as well, I didn’t encounter any problems as I read it, and I felt as though I was watching a real-life movie, not reading a story.
This is highly recommended for those who wished to experience an extraordinary. Fair warning, though, because the antagonists are extremely annoying. Try to keep an open mind, and you won’t be stressed out.
