Part 1: The Main Storyline of Hybrid Aria
Lily is lucky to have Aria as her sister. As a result of Lily’s mother’s passing at sixteen, Aria took on the role of Lily’s mom. Aria was also subjected to physical abuse at the hands of her stepfather, in addition to the loss of her mother.
She would run away and hide Lily from him because he had beaten both of them severely. Lily went with her everywhere she went. Thanks to the neighbors who cared enough to occasionally give them food when they were hungry.
What makes her life terrible is her being a hybrid. Aria is a half-werewolf and half-vampire. Being a vampire was her worst nightmare because she always craved blood. To stop those cravings, she always injected herself with a wolfbane. With no one else to rely on but herself, Aria did her best to move ahead. Lucky that she has a friend Zoe who looks after them.
They were very dear to the old lady, and she loved them very much. Zoe is the owner of the restaurant where she was working. There’s also Markus, her best friend who genuinely cares about them.
Reid, the alpha of Blood Moon Pack and was Aria’s mate. And meeting the woman means chaos to him because the woman has part vampire, which he loathes. After all, vampires have a big contribution to his parent’s death. As time passed, Reid slowly knew Aria and the hardships she went through in the arms of David, Aria’s stepfather. In anger, Reid challenged David to get out of Aria and Lily’s life.
At first, David lay low but eventually retaliated in the worst case possible. He revealed that Aria is a hybrid vampire and werewolf, the kind that he hates. Reid confronted Aria, and her mate told him the truth. He momentarily gets angry, but the pull and the mate bond are too potent to be mad with that fact. Despite the anger, Reid accepted Aria. Hybrid or not, he is still her mate.
But it wasn’t the only thing Aria was into. The fact that Aria is a lycan made their situation worst because Aria was being hunted by the hunters. They are the humans that want to banish the Lycan kind.
Part 2: The Main Characters of Hybrid Aria
Aria
Aria, a half-wolf, half-vampire hybrid, is a wolf-less wolf. She’s the main character of the story, “Hybrid Aria,” and she’s also Alpha Reid’s mate.
The identity of Aria’s biological father and Reid’s role in the tragedy that befell her parents will be central to the story and will lead to surprising revelations about the young protagonist. She wasn’t your typical werewolf because she was a Lycan, the alpha of all alphas that would shock Alpha Reid.
Alpha Reid
He’s the leader of the Blood Moon Pack and the male protagonist of Hybrid Aria. Because vampires killed Reid’s father, he deeply resents them. Furthermore, the hybrids among them are actively targeted for elimination. But Aria’s hybrid status would prevent him from doing so. Because of his dominant personality, Alpha Reid and Aria constantly butted heads. Both stubborn and unwilling to give an inch, they constantly clashed over trifles before eventually agreeing to conflict. Alpha Reid will eventually give up because he will discover that Aria is a Lycan, which means he would never mess with his woman.
Lily
Lily is Hybrid Aria’s adorable and charming younger sister. Lily loves Aria so much that she sees her as her second mother. When their mother passed away, Lily was just a baby. Since then, she has been badly neglected by her father. Lily’s character will give Aria calmness and courage to fight the battles in their life.
Part 3: Oozing Chapters of Hybrid Aria
Introduction of Hybrid Aria
Trigger Warning! Hybrid Aria’s opening scene is an immediate red flag for abuse. Her stepfather, Alpha David, has mistreated Hybrid Aria ever since her mother passed away. Alpha David makes it a habit to beat her and not throw a glance at Lily, his real daughter making Aria to be Lily’s second mother since then. Aria was severely beaten in this part until she passed out.
Chapter 1 of Hybrid Aria
This chapter of Hybrid Aria really touched my heart because it depicted the touching moment when Aria woke Lily up to get her ready for school. Lily begged Aria to give her something to eat, but Aria told her she’d have to wait until they got to the diner where Aria worked.
You can tell how much Aria cares about Lily from this, but the fact that she couldn’t provide food for Lily due to neglect in their pack will break your heart all the same. Aria did all she could to care for her younger sister and give her the happy life she deserved.
Chapter 3 of Hybrid Aria
For some reason, Aria can’t shake the feeling that she’s always being watched. As she had suspected, Alpha Reid was constantly at her heels. Hybrid Aria, lacking a wolf genetic component, did not experience the same magnetic pull as Alpha Reid.
Aria had a hard time pinpointing the moment they became mates; she would only be aware of it when her lycan nature emerged. Alpha Reid was like a puppy, always following her around, and he even asked Zoe and Marcus in the diner where Aria was working if they could get her phone number. What a love-sick alpha!
Chapter 5 of Hybrid Aria
Like a crazy mate, Alpha Reid would wait for Hybrid Aria daily at the diner. He wanted to know more about his mate and why Aria didn’t smell like a typical werewolf. Ryder’s wolf was constantly asking him questions and messing with his mind.
In an attempt to satisfy his insatiable appetite for knowledge, Alpha Reid once paid for a round of cookies and milk for Lily and interviewed the girl after. However, Reid is impressed by the woman because she clearly loves Lily and has taken on the role of “second mom” since Lily’s mother passed away.
Part 4: Story Recommendation for Hybrid Aria
While I enjoyed the overall concept of Hybrid Aria, I was saddened to learn that Aria was abused by her stepfather. Stories like these should always include a trigger warning in every chapter, which the author fails to provide a disclaimer for. However, the twist in the story makes it a worthwhile read for those with a healthy dose of sanity. I recommend True Luna by Tessa Lilly to give you a different point of view.
