The story begins with Lily and the love of her life, Heath on their wedding day. The eight-month-pregnant woman is surrounded by her loved ones on her special day, her father Harvey, her mother, and her brother Glen.
Harvey walks down the aisle with her precious daughter and the ceremony finally begins. Just as Lily is about to say her vows, the silence in the church is disrupted by a striking sound of a bullet shot. In mere moments all guests started running, screaming, and crying.
Unfortunately, no one can leave the church as the exit is blocked by a bunch of goons. Soon enough, a tall, God-like-looking man enters the church, making his way toward the altar. His smirk is obvious as he enjoys seeing everyone so terrified of him.
Immediately, Harvey recognizes the man. It is Nikalaus King, the feared mafia. He approaches the man, asking for mercy and promising to retrieve the tape he made as long as he lets his family go.
Nikolaus humiliates the man by making him offer oral pleasure to one of his men but eventually kills him. Then, he asks Stefan to burn down the church and everyone in it, including the pregnant bride. He might have let Harvey and his family life if the man hadn’t messed with the love of his life, Leah.

Nikalaus is very cold towards his wife Angela, who can’t properly walk, using a wheelchair most of the time. He only wed her under his father’s instructions, because his heart belonged to Leah. And even though Leah was married, he would have stayed single his whole life, just to be her secret lover.
Nikalaus and Angela’s intimate encounters are cold and fast. King didn’t even undress. He would simply get on top of her and get the job done. Angela, on the other hand, craves his touch as she is in love with him and, even though she knows he loves someone else, she still hopes that one-day Nikalaus will reciprocate her affections.
The man’s icy heart starts to melt slowly as he starts paying more attention to his wife and, when she is finally fed up with his coldness and starts rejecting him, Nikalaus will go crazy with jealousy and try to win her back. Will the cold-blooded mafia win the heart of the purest girl?
Part 2: Hot Chapter From His Broken Angel
One of the most intriguing aspects of His Broken Angel novel is, in my opinion, the way Nikalaus can transform from a bloodthirsty monster to an affectionate, soft boyfriend when being around his lover.
Mafia men aren’t usually supposed to show any emotions. They are these cold, statuesque gentlemen, whose manners are impeccable but whose feelings are buried deep inside. They can only show hate, disdain, and even disgust.
The fact that Nikolaus isn’t the average mafia type is truly appealing. His character is well-rounded from the beginning until the end and, as his storyline progresses, we are able to see the changes he’s going through, his struggles, and his decisions that will eventually reshape his entire personality and existence.

Marriage Of Convenience
Angela is once again disappointed that she had to hear from her servants that Nikalaus is coming home tonight. He has her phone number, yet he never gives her a call, a clear sign that he doesn’t care about her whatsoever.
The woman stood up from her wheelchair and walked towards her bed holding onto the wall. Despite the surgeries she underwent in the last few years, she still had a lot of work to do until she would finally able to walk on her own.
Angela cleaned the room, sprayed some lily-scented room freshener, and headed toward the bathroom to shave her body. Afterward, she got in bed and waited for her husband to come. As Nikolaus opened the door, Angela’s heart skipped a beat. She hadn’t seen the man for a month, she missed him deeply.
Nikolaus ignored his wife, as she was trying to tell him about her doctor’s appointment. He headed towards the bathroom and, when he came back, fully clothed, he turned off the light and got between her legs.
Without an ounce of affection or gentleness, Nikalaus undid his belt and pounced on her. As soon as he was done, he got up and left the room without a word. Again, Angela felt lonely and unloved, not to mention used and heartbroken.
