Chapter 1
“The President of Nova Group threw a lavish birthday bash for the Vice President of his company. The two are suspected to be in a romantic relationship.”
Her Heart, Her Terms Chapter 1 narrates how it all started. The difference between Lily and her husband Xavier had become clear as day.
Lily was looking at a video of her husband in the act of unfaithfulness. She caught him with his hands in the cookie jar. Lily did not know who had sent her the video of a woman entering a hotel room where her husband was, and not coming out until several hours later.
I mean, obviously, there was no name attached to the video as a sender, but Lily could guess that the sender was her husband’s mistress.
For crying out loud, that day was Xavier’s birthday, and Lily had prepared a surprise for him, only for her to be looking at a video of him cheating on her. Now guess where it became even worse?
Xavier returned home that night, and when Lily subtly confronted him about his dealings, he was not remorseful.
Lily received a notification from the internet media, revealing what had happened in Xavier’s company even though he had lied to her that he was busy at work.
Well yes, he was busy at work, except that he was busy throwing a birthday bash for his Vice President and mistress.
Chapter 2
“That’s different. We are husband and wife. How could she ever compare to me?”
“You are the one who can’t compare to her.”
This has to be the most heart-breaking chapter of Her Heart, Her Terms Novel. The above dialogue was a continuation of the findings of Lily in chapter 1. She wanted to understand what was going through her husband’s mind as he was seen in public with another woman.
Was the woman he was seen with worth it? Was she worth coming between both of them who were married?
Well, the answer to that question was a hefty yes from her husband, Xavier. The woman was worth it and if there was anyone who was not worth it, it was her, Lily Joyner.
“Let’s get a divorce.”
It was at this point that Lily’s eyes cleared. There was one thing she could not tolerate from Xavier even though she had tolerated the most over their two-year marriage. It had happened.
Of course, trust Xavier not to take Lily seriously. I mean, she had been one to come crawling towards him each and every time, begging for him to choose her over the plethora of choices he had out there.
But if only Xavier knew early that this time around, his wife was serious about cutting ties with him. This was no ordinary threat. Lily Joyner was done.

Part 2: The Plot Of Her Heart, Her Terms
Lily Joyner had been married to Xavier Fulton for two years. In the span of two years, Lily had to put up with a lot of short comings from her husband. Xavier was standoffish to her, and hardly treated her as he should treat a wife.
However, Lily endured all that.
The reason Xavier was that way was simply because he felt that he and his family, the Fulton family, were doing Lily and her family a favor by marrying her. The situation was that Lily’s family, the Joyner family, had gone bankrupt and they were in debt.
Part of the way the Joyner family were to pay their debt was to give Lily out for marriage. Lily was going to get married to an old and senile man just in a bid to save her family. That was the case until Xavier stepped in, offering to get married to Lily.
Automatically, Lily’s marriage to Xavier would foot their debt and keep her family in a safe position. They would no longer be bankrupt.
That was the case. It was Xavier who offered to get married to Lily. Maybe that was why he did not see anything wrong in making her love for him to suffer.
It was worth the while as far as there was no woman between them, until Lily received a video from an unknown sender. The video showed her husband actively cheating on her.
While Lily was trying to come to terms with that fact also, she would see news on the internet that her husband, Xavier, had gone public with another woman.
Nothing had prepared Lily for that sort of shocking finding. What was even worse in fact, was the fact that her husband saw no wrong in what he was doing. He was at the moment, giving Lily 500,000 dollars per month as pocket money. All she needed to do was sleep with him and do mediocre tasks.
With that on the line, Xavier Fulton was sure that he had every right to be unfaithful to Lily. After all, he was helping her and her family. What he was not prepared for was the day Lily would decide that she wanted a divorce.
When Lily asked for a divorce and proceeded to leave Xavier Fulton’s house, he thought she was just bluffing. Even when they coincidentally met themselves in public, Xavier thought that Lily was stalking him.
Well, he realized rather late that Lily had finally dumped him since he wanted to be with another woman.
Part 3: Summary Of Her Heart, Her Terms
At the end of the day, it was indeed Her Heart, Her Terms. Things had to change after Xavier had spent the last two years humiliating her as his wife.
It took almost forever, but we are glad that Lily eventually realized that she could step away from the marriage. There was no love there. Before Lily even found out about her husband’s mistress, she could confess that he was emotionally unavailable for her.
The plot of the book is intense and carries cliffhangers in all the right places. After Lily had asked to divorce Xavier, it was funny to have him still express his ego. Xavier would claim that Lily can’t leave him. He was in for a bubble burst.
Divorced! Now What? is another book that deserves the attention of our lovely readers. On this occasion, Bethany returned home at an unfamiliar time, only for her husband and her twin sister to later come in kissing and having sex in the living room.
Bethany was equal to the task here unlike what we are used to from female leads. She had plans. Bethany [planned to divorce her husband, and take everything that belonged to him. But the problem she had was what to do to her sister.
This act from Bethany’s husband drives her towards a dangerous path. Will she ever believe in love again? Will she welcome love to herself, or she would enter into a spree of one-night stands?
