Part 1: Loving You Is Hurtful Summary
The novel begins with Luo Enxi receiving a call from the hospital, letting her know that her husband and sister were admitted after getting into a car accident. Unfortunately for her, the man and the woman were having intimate relations in the limo when the accident occurred.
Thinking it is just a bad joke, Luo Enxi hangs up the phone without having second thoughts. Coincidentally, she is at the hospital, for an IV and when walking down the corridor, nurses and doctors rushed all over the place as two people were carried inside.
Getting a glimpse of the man on the stretcher, Luo Enxi recognizes his suit, as it was the same suit that her husband, Fu Huochen was wearing in the morning. She personally picked his outfit, so it was impossible for her to be mistaken.
Then, as despair flushed over her, Luo Enxi turns her attention to the woman lying on the other stretcher. She recognized her sister and a screeching sound is heard in the corridor, as the girl can’t hold back her scream.
The nurses approach Luo Enxi, asking her if she is familiar with the injured woman and her boyfriend, as they were involved in a terrible car crash while having sex. Luo Enxi admits being the woman’s sister, thus she is told to wait right there, as the woman’s lover is about to come.
Soon enough, Fu Huochen comes, surprised to see his wife at the hospital. Hurt and betrayed by the man she loved for three years, Luo Enxi asks him if it’s true they had the accident while sleeping together in the limo. Without any remorse or sense of guilt, Fu Huochen admits to being involved with his wife’s sister.
Luo Enxi knows the man is a player, as news of his affairs could seldom be seen on television, but she never believed that he could betray her with her own sister. Mocking her, Fu Huochen tells his wife that her sister, Xirou is exactly his type. She is obedient, she has a great body and she is really good in bed.
Furthermore, Fu Huochen is set on tormenting Luo Enxi even more. He removes his wife from being the vice president of his company and gives the position to Xirou, while also being affectionate to her in public places.
He does all these things to get back at Luo Enxi, who had plotted with his grandmother to marry him, causing his girlfriend to miscarry and lose control, ending up in a mental hospital.
Luo Enxi will try to get a divorce and run away but Fu Huochen will stop her. He is determined to keep making her life a living hell. How will Luo Enxi cope with her husband’s abuse? Will she finally stop having feelings for him?
Part 2: Loving You Is Hurtful Book Review And Sneak Peak
I have to admit, this is one of the most heartbreaking novels I have ever read so far. Reading chapter after chapter, you can actually feel Luo Enxi’s excruciating love for her husband while being struck by the intensity of Fu Huochen’s hatred for her.
You know what they say, love is only one step away from hate, so, when Fu Huochen realizes he actually loves his wife, he will feel torn apart between his revenge and his desire to win her back.
This storyline is truly amazing and unexpected, as Luo Enxi and Fu Huochen have a rocky love-hate relationship. They will need to go through hell and fire to heal old wounds and start fresh.
What I also enjoyed about this novel is the complexity of the characters. The author has rounded the perfect protagonists for this kind of story, that will break your heart and have it restored over and over again.
Fu Huochen leaned over and pressed against Luo Enxi’s body. She opened her eyes wide, surprised to see the man on top of her. He couldn’t understand her resiliency towards having sex with him, as she was the one who wanted the marriage in the first place. His voice was cold and his eyes were dark.
Luo Enxi was still having a high fever, but that didn’t stop her husband to take advantage of the opportunity to torment her even more. Pitifully, she begged him to leave her alone, even promising to submit to his will some other day.
Seeing her all sick and fragile made Fu Huochen let her go, but instead of leaving the room, he grabbed the ointment from the bedside table and started rubbing her knees. His sudden help surprised Luo Enxi, but she couldn’t react, afraid that he would stop touching her. For her, this was a dream come true.
As soon as he was done with applying the ointment, Fu Huochen gazed at his wife, telling her he only helped her so she won’t die, as she still deserved to be tortured in the future. Soon, Luo Enxi’s sister came to visit to scold the man for standing her up the previous day, as they were supposed to meet at a hotel, but Fu Huochen never showed up.
The two of them start flirting in front of Luo Enxi and eventually go into the next room to have sex. Xirou’s shouts tormented Luo Enxi, who fell asleep crying.
Part 3: Apart From Loving You Is Hurtful, You should Read This Novel
