Families are supposed to show love and support towards children, no matter how young, experienced, or independent they are. Unfortunately for Vanessa, her father cares more about the girl’s sister, Queenie.
The sole reason why Sebastian Simmons started looking for his long-lost daughter Vanessa was to spare his favorite daughter, Queenie, from marrying the ill, crippled son of the Anderson family. He was willing to sacrifice Vanessa for his precious Queenie’s well-being.
Our protagonist is quick-witted though and she is aware that her family’s affection is pure charade, but she will still agree to marry the Anderson heir. What are her true intentions toward her family? Will her husband come to love her?

Part 1: Billionaire Wants To Get Married Storyline
Vanessa Simmons is surrounded by men wearing black suits. She is expecting the Simmons family to come and pick her up, so she urges her men to go away. Reuniting with her family after all those years wasn’t really what she wants, especially since she knows her father wants to marry her with a stranger, but she is intrigued and wanted to see how far her family can go.
Soon, a luxurious car parked in front of her place, and a handsome man, Felton, came out. He is surprised to see how beautiful Vanessa is and he is also confused to see how eager she is to accompany him to the Simmons family. He is her brother, but their relationship was estranged, having no contact with each other for years.
After a two-hour long drive, they finally got to the Simmons mansion, where her half-sister Queenie and her stepmother Elise were waiting. The two women pretend to be pleased to have Vanessa home and Queenie even tries to hug her half-sister, but the girl dodged her embrace.
Queenie didn’t expect Vanessa to embarrass her, she got angry but did her best to hide her true feelings. Soon enough, Sebastian Simmons, the girl’s father, arrived and seemed to be pleased with Vanessa.
The man happily exclaims that he can finally keep his promise towards the Anderson family, and hand his daughter in marriage to their eldest son, who was terminally ill. He is a bit worried though, as he has no idea how Vanessa was raised, whether she will embarrass his family or not.
Felton is intrigued. Of course, he knew about his father’s promise to the Anderson family, but he never thought that this was the reason why Sebastian went looking for his missing daughter. It certainly wasn’t fair to her to marry her off to a stranger, who is also crippled nonetheless.
To everyone’s surprise, Vanessa agrees to the marriage. Elise and Queenie are beyond happy, especially since now the precious Simmons daughter was off the hook. If Vanessa should have denied her father’s request, Queenie was next in line to marry the Anderson son.
Felton tries to put some sense into his newly found sister, but Vanessa is adamant about marrying the man. She is actually taken by surprise by her brother’s concern and makes up her mind about him. He is a nice guy, unlike her stepmother Elise who seemed stupid, Queenie who had poor acting skills, and Sebastian who was selfish and self-serving.
The next day, Felton handed Vanessa a card, inviting her to go ahead and buy herself something nice. The girl tried to reason with him, as she had money of her own, but she didn’t really want to give away her true worth, so she ultimately accepts her brother’s money.
Hiding her real social status and wealth, Vanessa marries Aaron Anderson, but she discovers that the man isn’t really what he appears to be. He is handsome and witty and he seems to be in good health! Will they give their marriage a try?
Part 2: Billionaire Wants To Get Married Book Review
Arranged marriages have become a true leitmotif if most romance books. Two beautiful strangers are forced by their families to get married due to an agreement they made years before.
Although they are reluctant to get married, the two protagonists always ultimately agree to fulfill their duty toward their family and are almost always get determined to have a platonic relationship or make the other get a divorce.
Things change throughout the novel, as the two main characters fall in love, let their guard down and eventually decide to have a real marriage. This is the exact scenario that also happens in Billionaire Wants To Get Married.
Vanessa marries Aaron after Sebastian Simmons made an agreement with the man’s father. Although they seem to be two very different people, the two of them finally connect to one another and understand each other’s reasons for agreeing to this marriage.
One thing I like is that, although Aaron and Vanessa are total strangers, they still have each other’s backs, protecting one another on various occasions. Aaron manages to see beyond Vanessa’s façade of being a strong woman. He knows she truly needs to feel cherished and protected and he’s ready to become her protector.
Billionaire Wants To Get Married is a beautiful romance novel, with an intriguing story, intricate plots, a sister filled with hate and jealousy, a vicious step-mother and a cold father, who keeps trying to make Vanessa’s life difficult, while the girl finds her true love.
