Oliver Bergman was attending the wedding of one of his siblings. Driving to the family house, he was in a different world from his brother whom he was traveling. Oliver Bergman had just had a breakup that registered. It was with the supposed love of his life called Bryce. He had been dating Bryce for months, only for him to open the door on Bryce with his penis in the mouth of another young man.
‘What did you expect?” Bryce had asked him that question without remorse when Oliver expressed shock and dissatisfaction concerning the fact that Bryce was unfaithful.
What did he expect? Was Bryce trying to say that there was nothing wrong with him cheating, or what? Oliver Bergman was devastated and he could not hide it. It was still fresh. The pain he felt as a result of what Bryce did was still heavy on him.

Part 1: Main Story of Everything For you
In Everything For You Book, Oliver was in the car with his brother who tried to cheer him up after noticing that Oliver was very downcast. Contemplating and making sure he didn’t drink too much to disgrace himself when he arrived at the family gathering, Oliver Bergman listened to everything that his brother told him half-hazard.
As much as Oliver would have loved to cheer up easily, heartbreak was never an easy feeling to get out of, especially if one was thoroughly invested in it like the way Oliver was invested in Bryce. Another burden that weighed Oliver Bergman down was the expectation that he felt his family had for him.
He was interested in being a football star and nothing else, but he compromised his dreams and attended school to be a doctor.
Part of the discussion that Oliver’s brother had with him in Everything For You Book was concerning what he really wanted for himself out of life. It was then, after a lot of years of living under self-inflicted pressure that Oliver Bergman opened up to his brother about how he really felt.
All of Oliver’s siblings had perfect lives and lived up to the expectations of their disciplined father who expected much more discipline than he had from them. This bothered Oliver a lot because his dreams were different from the regular career path that his family was used to. That was why he merged being a doctor with his football career that he pursued at a slow pace.
Eventually, Oliver Bergman started to play football fully. Following his brother’s advice, he enhanced his focus on his dream, and four years later, he was narrating his story from the locker room of the state team in the United States, where he lived. In Everything For You Book, as a result of the move that Oliver made in focusing on his career, he met one of his football idols. After playing in professional teams and participating in professional leagues in the United Kingdom, Gavin Hayes, Oliver Bergman’s long-time idol joined the same team that Oliver played in the United States, but guess what? Gavin didn’t like Oliver one bit.
Gavin Hayes was old and retiring. He had at most two years on the line if he wanted to continue being professional, so he knew he was on his way out. Seeing Oliver made him remember everything he used to be when he was fresh in his career and guess what? It upset Gavin. He would rather not set eyes on Oliver if it were possible.
But that didn’t last for long as soon enough, the coach of their team paired them to be co-captains. How daring. Did the coach not know that Gavin didn’t like Oliver or what? Well, the instruction was that they had better work together if not they would forfeit their positions as captains and some other punishments that they would not be able to escape.
This was the beginning of the relationship between Oliver and Gavin. Read the book in-depth to see how Gavin got over his subtle resentment for Oliver, and how Oliver was able to move forward in his love life after the devastating breakup he had with his ex-boyfriend years ago.
Part 2: Main Characters of Everything For You
Oliver Bergman
Oliver Bergman is the lead character in Everything For You. Later on in the book, he was romantically involved with the co-captain of the soccer team that he was a member of. It took a lot for Oliver Bergman to get to the position he currently found himself in.
First of all, he was not confident enough to own up to the fact that what he wanted to do with his life was to be a football star. He played football, but he concentrated on being a doctor because he sought to please his family until his brother advised him to follow his passion which was to play soccer, squarely. Oliver did this and soon became an uprising football sensation in the country.
Gavin Hayes
Gavin Hayes was a veteran football star in Everything For You Book. At the time he joined the team that Oliver Bergman was playing in, he was on bowing out of a successful career. Gavin Hayes had been playing professional soccer since he was seventeen years of age, and at thirty-four, he was concluding his run.
As a result, when he met Oliver Bergman, he didn’t like him because Olver reminded him of his days as a young athlete. I personally think that Gavin was jealous of Oliver, lol. Anyway, along the line, Gavin had to deal with having Oliver around him because they were appointed as co-captains of their team by their coach, and they had to deliver on their duty.
Nobody cared if they didn’t like each other or not. This was how Olivia Bergman and Gavin Hayes became romantically inclined even though there was a notable age gap between them.
Part 3: Evaluate Everything For You
I don’t know if it was just the copy of Everything For You that I read, but this book was so difficult for me to read. The letters of the book were written in very small fonts, I fought to keep track with each line until I decided to listen to the audio version.
That was the only way I could read the book at the end. However, I must confess that the book, though it follows a plot that might be described as mundane and boring, had a good pace that made it an interesting read. Ten out of ten from my point of view. And oh, I loved the characters as well, especially Gavin Hayes. Read the book to find out what made it peculiar.
