Well, Jeslyn got to find out a deeper truth about her supposed blood sister, Christine. Christine was gaining in on the family’s wealth before something happened with Jeslyn that made her prospective wealth and inheritance become history. As a result, Christine and others started to plot all sorts of ways to geth that wealth back, which included planting Ray Zhou in a position where Jeslyn would fall in love with him, and he would have access to a lump of wealth that belonged to her.

We are all used to having the bride have a replacement and never the other way around, but on this occasion, the groom had a replacement. Weird. Yes, it must have been weird, but the female lead was a weird character and that alone gives the novel a certain spice that makes the time spent reading the novel worth the time.
