Billionaire Romance Novel Review: Come Back to Me

The beginning of Come Back to Me was executed perfectly, with nothing that was found about it. We get introduced to the two primary characters at hand, Brody and Tracy. Brody was the 27-year-old CEO of a company named YT Group and he had just taken his marriage vows with Tracy.

Tracy walks up the stairs, stumbling along the way and thrusting open the door to her room. As she looks behind, she sees Brody and gets scared immediately. Brody intimidatingly questions why Tracy doesn’t run away, in the most neutral tone imaginable. Tracy ran towards the window, and in response, Brody captured her by force. Tracy pleaded with him to let her go, though there were no signs of that happening.

She was the spitting image of a pitiful figure, though Brody showed no remorse and treated her with utmost disrespect even in front of guests.

Tracy realized that she was indeed scared of the man she married. With that, Brody told her that she overestimated herself and that her father’s actions were to blame for his treatment of her. Brody claimed that it was time for her to fulfill her duty as a wife, constantly reminding her that she had no choice in the matter either.

Tracy’s father had, all of a sudden, essentially forced her to marry Brody and the exact reasons were unknown. Though what we knew was that her father was the root of the mistreatment. After trying to resist Brody forcing Tracy to ‘carry out her duties’, she eventually accepted it and teared up. Brody told her that this was only the beginning of the living hell he’d create for her.

Part 1: The Beauty of a Good Beginning in Come Back to Me

Conflicts in the Beginning

The Beginning to Come Back to Me was absolutely splendid in every imaginable sense. There was a very noticeable element of mystery that added to my feeling of intensity and pressure in the first chapter alone. You feel so curious about what Brody and Tracy’s father’s relationship was.

You feel so pressurized knowing that the consequences of the father’s supposed actions were all being exerted on Tracy and more than anything, you feel bad for her and pity her.

Reading the first chapter alone can make you feel emotional. This is mostly attributed to the writing and tone created by the author (more on that later). The first chapter laid the perfect groundwork for the later chapters of the novel, creating a perfect formula that keeps the reader entertained. It was masterfully created.

By the end of the first chapter, we even get a hint at what Tracy’s father did. He had treated Juliet; someone Brody apparently knew in the same way that he treated Tracy, which was the cause of it. Though why would her father ask her to marry Brody? Questions like these really bring out the ability of the introduction and it is clear to me that the author knew what they were doing.

Part 2: Main Theme of Come Back to Me

Tracy being Forced into Situations

The novel is based off of romance, though it doesn’t emphasize this concept until fairly far into the novel. Though, there are numerous symbolisms and nodes to society within this novel that are generally appreciable.

For example, the novel outlines how bad domestic abuse is as a commonly done and widespread act by making us pity Tracy’s character since we get such a detailed insight into what type of character she is and how she gets impacted by abuse.

We also get the results of victims being helped out by external forces which makes the reader internalize such concepts. The dark tones of the series help to bring a wave of societal change, deep as it may be.

Dark undertones are commonly used in this novel to express scenes to their fullest extent, and they did justice to the intensity and overall quality of the novel. The novel does undertake many themes, though spreading them over the chapters diversifies them and keeps the novel refreshing.

Part 3: The Detail within the Writing of Come Back to Me

The writing is undeniably one of the biggest positives of this novel. It is very expressive and gets the point across in an instant. The author is one that deserves mountains of appreciation for this factor alone. The writing brings out the best even from the negative portions of the novel.

The description of emotions is the biggest beneficiary of the writing. A constant picture was playing relevant to Tracy’s exact situation physically and emotionally through the sheer detail of writing that the author displayed to us in the first chapter.

This novel is one driven by intensity and continuity which the writing brings out to the best of its ability. The author, in the most amazing fashion, can make the simplest of actions seem meaningful and intense through just the previous events leading up to said simple action.

Part 4: Character Development within Come Back to Me

Character Development within the Novel

Every chapter feels meaningful in the sense that quite a lot of information is taken in by the reader. The sheer density of content within every chapter also makes room for rapid opportunities in character development.

This first case of this was evident in quite literally the first two chapters of the novel. When Brody first had his way with Tracy, she was devastated and had to accept it with tears. The same was the case the second time in the second chapter, though she smirked afterward which somewhat intimidated Brody. She promised that Brody would regret this and that all of it was fine as long as he was happy.

This strong female character, empowering herself and making her opinions clear lights something inside you. It can also be appreciated that the author chose not to detail the events of the heinous deed.

Part 5: Conclusive Remarks

Tracy Finding Her Place in the World

Come Back to Me is a masterpiece with beautiful representations of societal issues, beautiful representations of the story it wants to portray, and beautiful characters. There aren’t many gripes about this novel to pick off except the fact that it’s very lengthy. Though, for many, that may very well be a good thing.

Come Back to Me will leave you with a sense of thorough fulfillment, empowerment, and an overdose of dopamine. The creation of the author is one that demands and deserves appreciation. Go read the novel, it’s great!
