Sweet Temptation by Cora Reilly is a mafia romance book based on the arranged marriage between Philadelphia’s underboss Cassio, and the daughter of a fellow made man, Giulia.
After losing his wife Gaia in a ghastly death, Philadelphia’s underboss Cassio was bitterly devastated. His wife had died a horrible death leaving just him to take care of their two kids: Daniele, and his months-old younger sister Simona.
At first, Cassio had tried to raise his kids by himself while running the streets of Philadelphia, but that had been too difficult for him. He could not handle the sleepless nights he got as a result of sharing his attention between his kind of work and his kids – no one could.
It was because of this reason that his father already began to suggest that he remarried right at his wife’s funeral. He knew his father meant well to him. The proposition had been for his own good, but it was going to have to take more than that before he would agree.
When Cassio couldn’t handle the stress anymore, and his position as underboss threatened because he was not married, he finally gave in to his father’s suggestion, knowing fully well he must’ve had everything figured out.
Just as he had calculated, his father had already arranged a contract marriage between him and a fellow underboss’ daughter – one that would unite their bonds, making them both stronger. It was a very nice decision, one he barely had a say in any way.
However, the only problem he had was the fact that his future wife was way too young for him. She was almost fourteen years younger than him and that didn’t sit well with his morals. Again he barely had a choice so he agreed to marry her.
Before their marriage, it had been arranged for the couples to meet. And when Cassio accidentally met his future wife Giulia in a library, he’d quickly lost his shit, irritated at how awfully young Giulia was.
It made him feel like a predator, but again he couldn’t disobey a Capo or risk his position as an underboss so he continued with the marriage arrangements anyway. Besides, he actually needed someone to take care of his kids and not someone who would satisfy him.
Of course, during their wedding night when he’d have to claim his wife as per tradition (or else lose his position as underboss, maybe by death) Cassio’s attitude towards his new wife Giulia changed when he noticed that she somewhat acted more mature than she looked, and that helped to calm his tense body.
After she’d been claimed by the most ruthless underboss alive. Giulia was still fascinated by his body and how soft he’d been towards her. Her problem was that she still feared him due to the rumors she’d heard about him, and they still moved tensely toward each other. Taking a mental note, Giulia decided to fix this for her own good.

Giulia Rizzo
Giulia Rizzo is the second child and only daughter of Baltimore’s Underboss, Felix. She is cousins with the Capo, Luca (specifically, her father is the capo’s uncle). In physical appearance, Giulia has innocent huge blue eyes, slender limbs, and long wavy hair. She is pretty but barely eighteen.
After the death of her fiancé (whom she’d only met once when she was twelve), Giulia knew it was only a matter of time before she would quickly be married off to someone else. Her mom Egidia was always eager to move their worth up the Famiglia.
And so Giulia had anticipated news but was shocked when she was told she would be marrying the most ruthless underboss in the Famiglia. Not that her opinion mattered but it hurt her that even though she was almost of age, she was never consulted to give her consent.
Giulia tried to perform her duty, but the rumors of her future fiancé’s ruthlessness freaked her out. How could she end up with someone who was rumored to rule his city with an iron hand, and might’ve murdered his wife, or driven her to suicide due to his cruelty?
More so, the underboss was way older than her, unlike her previous fiancé who had been killed in a Bratva attack. Although he was just the son of a captain, at least that one had been near her age.
But this one had kids whom she was expected to take care of even though she almost knew nothing about raising kids. She feared maybe the underboss would harm her too if she didn’t do her job well.
Cassio Moretti
Cassio Moretti is a thirty-two years old underboss of Philadelphia. He’s the son of a former underboss, Mansueto, and is currently considered the most ruthless underboss in the Famiglia who rules his city with an iron hand. He has deep blue eyes, a properly built, towering, and domineering figure, and is rumored to be The Capo’s favorite person.
While all may seem well for him, Cassio was in bitter pain due to the death of his wife. His late wife Gaia had left him with two kids (Daniele and Simona) and when he realized he couldn’t take care of them all alone he finally agreed to the marriage proposal his father had arranged for him.

Chapter Seven
Immediately it was time for Cassio to claim his wife, Luca’s (the Capo) uncles who were also his fellow underbosses began to chant that he beds his wife as was the tradition of the Famiglia. Cassio didn’t like those men, but he had to obey the tradition of the Famiglia and bed his wife so he would submit the stained sheets which proved that he had claimed her.
Knowing what was expected of them to do next caused heat to rise up Giulia’s cheeks, but she had to perform her duty so she allowed Cassio to take her hand and lead her up their suite. And before they began, she couldn’t help but take mental notes of how good Cassio’s body looked
