Serza took the werewolf romance genre to another level as she showcased her amazing talent for characterization in Blind Instincts. Two simple characters with in-depth backstory and an understanding of their nature and attitudes, this is what made Blind Instincts stand out among its other competitors in the said genre.

The novel Blind Instincts features a character who is inherently blind. She was locked up, unloved, and had not shifted to her wolf yet. She was submissive. You could see how weak her personality was in the first chapters.

But as the story of Blind Instincts progressed, you were able to see and feel her growth. It was not a growth that came with external factors, boosting her confidence. It was a genuine growth with her finally thinking about herself. Add the fact that it does not feel abrupt like most revenge stories under werewolves.

If we are talking about male protagonists too with a lot of substance, Blind Instincts can also be proud of its male lead, Alaric. Alaric is a jerk, no doubt, but as you read his point of view and analyze the situation, he was not just giving excuses for his behavior.

This character has a huge daddy issue and Blind Instincts were able to capture that in just 3 to 5 chapters only. So if you ever come to that certain point of Blind Instincts, you’ll probably say: deserved, coward.

Let’s also not forget the Blind Instincts’ way of narrating the story through the lens of Monet. She was blind and writing through her lens is a real challenge here. But let’s give a round of applause to the author of Blind Instincts, Serza made us feel blind too with her vocabulary as she describes everything in imagery.

It will make us wonder if Serza did experience being blind.

Don’t talk about the ending, it was unexpected but it will heal all the scars you will get from reading Blind Instincts.

Blind Instincts deserve a spotlight and a spot in your library.

He even brought her to his territory. But Alpha Alaric does not have any plans on making Monet his Luna because apparently, he is to be mated to another pack’s Alpha’s sister.

Monet heard about this. This also propped her wolf to manifest. She was finally able to release her wolf and have her sight yet it was only for a moment. Monet and Alpha Alaric had a confrontation and the former ended up wounded.

The day Alpha Alaric introduced Monet to his parents came. He told them she was his mate. However, his parents still forced him to be mated to their ally’s daughter.

Will Alpha Alaric bend to his parent’s will again or for the first time, decide something that is really from his heart?

Alpha Alaric

Alpha Alaric

As the leader of the strongest pack, Alpha Alaric of Blind Instincts has to always conduct himself as a reliable leader. He would prioritize his pack more than anything as evidenced by how he agreed to be mated with someone else other than his mate.

But in contrast to what he was trying to portray, Alpha Alaric is indecisive, weak, and cowardly. He wanted his mate but he was too weak and cowardly to disobey his father. Alpha Alaric says he wanted Monet at one time and then in the next moment, he would distance himself from her.

To be honest, if Alpha Alaric of Blind Instincts could just settle for what his heart truly wanted, they would not end up getting hurt in the end.
