Part 1: Plot Summary of Leave Me Breathless
The story opens up with a morbid Valentine’s Day. Well, morbid for Macy Rodgers who isn’t feeling the love at all. I mean, who can blame the girl: There was that hot one-night fling in the backseat a few months prior, but otherwise her love life has been terribly sad.
However, her friends come to the rescue. Of course, we all need crazy friends who interfere even though we really don’t want them to. Friends who see more clearly what we need. Chapter Three
Macy once again finds herself in the backseat of Ghost’s ’69 GTO convertible. But, it’s not the crazy wild ride she thought they’d be doing in the backseat. Rather, he lets his hands and tongue do the work. However, he promises the ride will come later, it just won’t be in the car.
They get into a deep conversation even with the intense foreplay going on. Fortunately, they’re both fully dressed —except for Macy’s underwear, when they are interrupted.
Chapter Four
Ghost is visited by his crazy ex, Raina. This comes on the day he’s supposed to meet with Macy, therefore his mood takes a little dive. But, he only has to think about who he’ll be seeing later that night, for him to feel better. Unfortunately, Raina passes a message to him about the band, and he has to lessen his unease once again by thinking of Macy.
Chapter Eight
Ghost takes Macy out to a get-together with his friends. It’s actually more of a party for Macy and she gets flustered by the large unfamiliar crowd. However, Candace helps and Ghost doesn’t leave her side. Not long after their arrival, Macy learns the origin of the name ‘Ghost’ and it’s hilarious.
Subsequently, Raina arrives at the party, and things nearly go south when she spots Ghost sitting beside Macy. A few moments later, Raina confronts Macy.
