An old man was laying on the ground, bloodied and desperate. He urged his son to flee the scene, but Arthur wasn’t willing to do so. He couldn’t leave his father all alone to die in the street.
The man needed his son to stay alive, otherwise, there would be no one standing to run their consortium. Arthur wanted nothing to do with that group so he begged his father to stay alive.
As the old man seemed to give his last breath, Arthur started calling him desperately. He jumps out of his sleep and realizes it was just a dream. Stacey, his wife, is bothered by being woken up in the middle of the night by her useless live-in-husband and threatens to suffocate him in his sleep next time.
She simply sends him back to bed, talking to him like she talked to a child. Stacey seemed to actually despise her husband, marrying him for the sole purpose of dominating him. They shared a one-night stand and she forced him into marrying her.
Arthur practically became a maid in his home, doing house chores and other things for Stacey’s family members. He fell in love with her but he felt that life by her side wasn’t going anywhere, she would never fall in love with him.
The following morning was the first time he ignored his wife. Instead of making coffee for Stacey and her family, Arthur started packing his clothes in a backpack. Afraid he might actually leave, Stacey hugs her husband, kisses him on the cheek, and urges him to make her some coffee.
The kiss did the trick, as our hero fell for her little scheme and went downstairs to make coffee. After more humiliation from her family members and Stacey being tricked into divorcing him, Arthur finally gains his freedom and is determined to get his revenge on everyone who humiliated him.
Stacey secretly loves him, but she is afraid her family might hurt him if she professed her true feelings. Will their love prevail?

Arthur is happy with his new position and heads for the bathroom, to refresh a little before accompanying his wife to work. Victoria overhears the conversation and comes into Stacey’s bedroom to scold her for hiring her worthless husband.
Downstairs, Grandma Gwendolyn is waiting for Stacey, ordering the girl to divorce her lousy husband, or else she will remain a widow. The girl is disappointed, but she agrees with her grandmother.
Later, another visit startles Arthur, as Caine brings a new secretary for Stacey. Arthur mocks Caine, making the man beat him to a pulp. Bloodied and floored, he wishes to see his wife’s reaction, but she disappoints him one more time as she is indifferent to Arthur’s wounds.

Taking advantage of their proximity, Caine asks Stacey when she would finally get a divorce from Arthur. Seeking her husband, Stacey realizes he was gone, so there was no need to keep up with her charade. She pushes Caine away from her.

Son In Law Revenge is a fantastic novel. You will find yourself rooting for Arthur and Stacey from the beginning of the story. Their mutual attraction is more than obvious and her reasons for keeping him away from her and mistreating him will melt your heart. She does love him and she wants to keep him safe!
